Roos has always come across as an unemotional type. That’s obviously wrong. It is both surprising and pleasing to see him so invested in the Club. His time with us was obviously much more than just a another job. Good on ya Roosey.

I was there in the 80’s and went to the 88 Grand Final - what an anticlimax. I don’t remember the atmosphere being like this but then time diminishes the memory and that result was very deflating.

The support coming from the past players and coaches has been fantastic and I’m glad the Club has embraced it. There is an atmosphere around the place that I’m sure hasn’t been there since the heady days of the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. Hopefully it inspires the playing group for 2 more games.

Fisting will probably appeal to Uncle Bitters in Romsey.

It has all the makings of a Petty clanger. Smith had 6 disposals for Casey and is still under done from his injury. Nothing he has done gives me any confidence that this is the right decision.

If true re Fritsch - not happy Jan. Really feel for him and Smith is being selected on potential not performance.

Agree re backing the coaches but I think Fritters disposal overall is better than Smiths - he can turn the ball over badly.

As an aside, I couldn’t be prouder of the Club in how they’ve reached out to all the fans - the lady post heart attack, James Harmes with the disabled boy, the kid who was overjoyed getting finals ticket. I’m not sure I have seen any other Club do it as well. I hear a lot of it has been driven by Goody and so massive cudos to him. He has brought grass roots front and centre, as it should be. So, whatever happens on Saturday we have been winners.

Too slow is one of the main issues - gets caught with the ball a lot and then gives away a free or turns it over.
