Not a bad thing. Take pick 6 to the draft, try to get another first rounder with our future first. Also interested in how the club handles this now. Effectively, the only real issue this week is from Trac, given Viney isn't going and Nibbler is family-related, and it seems to now have prevented a trade occurring. I'm assuming that isn't what Trac wanted, but it's happened and the club can't be happy about it

What's it say?
-
I wouldn't read to much into that afl.com article. Very specifically doesn't say that Houston is having second thoughts or rethinking coming to us, just that our tumble down the ladder and Trac's unhappiness throws a doubt on his preference, I.e. it might make a difference.

Played very well forward on the weekend, and provides mu h needed grunt when moved into the middle. Wouldn't be against it at all

Garry said, essentially, North asked, Jack went back to Melbourne and the conversation took less than 5 minutes. He's staying at Melbourne, and very happy to be staying at Melbourne

Would require the Crows beating Port and Sydney. But as you said, stranger things

I've been thinking about this the last couple of weeks. The only problem I can see is that Max seems to like being the man. Whether he's happy to step aside or not, I'm not sure. If he was, agree Rick and Trac are next cabs off the rank, ably supported by Nibbler.

2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Mickey replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Watched most of the 2nd quarter. Ah-mu stands out for his size, but probably unsurprising at his height and age lacks a bit of athleticism and speed. -

Doesn't look like there's any way to stream this, unfortunately -
This is a recap of the Kane Cornes article in The Age. I definitely don't think that...

Crux is we are ageing, made mistakes signing Oliver, trading Grundy, not trading Petty, signing Brayshaw, and losing our depth. Then saying the AFL will give us less prime time games, a crack at the 16k crowd last round and a gag about fans cooling off at the snowfields. Absolutely nothing new, just a rehash of what he's been bleating about for the last 12 months.

Rivers was very strong in his interviews post-moving into the midfield that he was settled in Melbourne. I'd be amazed if he moved.
-
That he wants out or we want him out?

Playing CHB in their VFL team

Port have always physically targeted Max. He wouldn't like it, but the club should rest him and bring in Verrall. Rough on him but a sore Max is too important to risk copping it

There's probably room in Tom Morris's dumpster, if it's one of this double lid types

Could explain the Jed Adams coach talk mentioned in the training thread.

Pup Brown - 6 disposals, 9 tackles, 1 goal in a qtr. Who's number 1 for Frankston? Carrying on like a pork chop while getting no where near it

In the NHL it's called 'Future Considerations'
-
The idea that we would trade a first round pick just to get his salary off the books is ludicrous. Even when that regularly happens innthe NHL, it's generally a third round pick which equates to pick 100. Imagine trading Oliver and not having a first round pick to bring in to replace him

Just watching the replay. It's obvious the umps gave a bit of leniency early on based on the weather. And we had a number of calls go our way, including TMacs spoil on Langdon. On the weather, it looks like we have finally stopped trying to handball our way in wet weather. The number of times they just hacked it forward off the ground when needed was actually good to see. The kids aren't just alright, they are seriously tough. Melky just wins so many important 1 on 1s. Loved McVee toweling up Stringer, and May getting into him when he tried the don't argue. Langdon's running is unbelievable. Imagine running nearly 16km (🤮) and having a guys say 'Nah, I think I'll run another 2km.'

Isn't he CEO? I'd think Dean Cox

Especially funny to see Reid pull Max onto himself when on the ground. Only one way that's gonna go with a guy as big as Max
