  1. Yeah, good point. Had forgotten about him
  2. Is this a role we could tempt someone like Bartel with? Seems like Hinkley is out, as is Daly if it isn't a head coach role. Who else could we look to? It would be interesting to see how this works with an experienced head coach like Buckley, but if its someone he trusts it could be a really useful role to have someone else experienced as a sounding board
  3. I think it also speaks to our lack of depth. If even one of may, lever or Turner is injured, Tmac is in. He probably wasn't expecting to play as many games as he did this year
  4. TMac also re-signed for 2026
  5. I used to hate the wildcard idea. But Collingwood just missed out after finishing 7th, so it's growing on me
  6. I think we have seen an uptick in the last few weeks. I don't know if its sustainable, but if we were going to offload him for a packet of chips we should have done it last year
  7. If we ship Clarry out for nothing, after carrying hik in the team for the last 2 years and just when he is starting to come good, I'll be furious. Unless he is the start and end of our cultural problems, which he isn't, or we are clearing cap space for a particular player, we'd be crazy to trade him for peanuts which is all we'd get.
  8. I think its Tahj. There was a mention in another thread where someone relayed Kalani's comment of "Watch out for Tahj". I remember listening to a podcast a while ago where Jeff said he had kept Tahj and Kai out of the GC academy when they were younger to let them just enjoy their footy. If Tahj is any good, no doubt we'll be fighting GC to get him.
  9. Not really though. One is we don't want you at the club, one is we don't want you in that role. It might be semantics, and it might result in the same outcome if Choco decides he doesn't want to hang around, but then that's his choice. An axing isn't
  10. It definitely sounded legit. In both interviews, he spoke about not renewing Choco's development coach contract and that we'd have a new development team. I think the problem is people are assuming Choco was 'axed'. That's not really the case, is it? Goody was axed. Choco's contract was up and not renewed for the development role. Doesn't stop the club from offering him a position somewhere else, and its then up to Choco to decide if he wants to do it or not
  11. Smart man! He's already worked out the real powerbroker at the club
  12. Never thought I'd say it: Try to get a 2nd for May. Disco is the future Any first we can get for Trac. Clarry more likely to return to the player he was than Trac Don't mind either way with Lever. Petty or JvR is fine Sparrow to Port for chips
  13. 3 votes, the smell of the inside of N. Daicos's [censored]. Only thing the umps can say they've seen all night
  14. He's dating Lily Johnson. Not sure it actually makes any difference
  15. They said it was someone Bucks had worked with before. Any ex dees players/coaches who also worked with bucks? I assume Jetta was there after bucks
  16. I think you're right that it will still be a factor; we aren't Collingwood or Carlton who could just ask a coterie group to stump up the cash. But hopefully, if it's the difference between getting a really good senior assistant or high performance manager, the board look at it more strategically than just the dollars
  17. Hey Binman, you might have more of a handle on this than me, but isn't it a soft cap for a reason? I.e., we can pay more than that if needed, it just costs us more? The club might not be rolling in cash, but the board might think another million or so to get the structures in place for next year and beyond is worth it for the hit.
  18. Tis the Ross way. Bankrupt the club trying to pinch a flag, and then leave when it goes pear shaped. I hope it works for them this time; God knows Saints fans deserve one.
  19. Or it'd be like us continually playing Viney and Oliver together who are both inside mids and can't play anywhere else. And Bedford is their run with player. They also have O'Halloran coming up.
  20. Crazy if true, they already have Tom Green and Callaghan as inside mids, and more who could play through there
  21. I reckon this is it. Was really impressed with Mahony's pressure.
  22. I have a new fave player (sorry Shelley). Maeve Chaplin, wow. Tough, balanced, explosive. What a game.
  23. Sure, but also not like it never happens
  24. Yep, Martin was a 2019 PSD by Carlton. And Hately 2020. So a few
