Personally from what I've seen, I think Bail has no choice, if he wants to stay in the system he has to step up this year. I liked what I saw from Evans last year, and I think is more a half forward than a midfielder.. Will be interesting to see who will thrive off having more midfield support.

I agree with what your saying. Vince is a far better footballer than Sylvia and has come from a club with a better cultute and when you break it down. Vince and sylvia are a similar player but one works harder. Vince is a goal kicking mid fielder and that was what sylvia was being forced to become, so in terms for the "vince/sylvia" trade. Only time will tell but i think vince will for one deliver more on a consistent basis.. And sylvia will be in and out of the dockers side and play some great football but also go missing..

I agree completely, I'd say for him to be an "A Grader" or to be seen as an a grader, he needs to he at the same level as Griffen from the bulldogs (who is now captain, just saying!).And like you said break a tag and have 30-40 touches most week and hit the score board. But that's hard to do when your constantly gut running back into defence to cover the absense of any wingman, half forwards who should be giving you a chop out and helping you get on the end of a few goals.. Instead of feeding them from the back pocket..

I completely disagree, he won 3rd best and fairest for a reason. He wins his own ball! And he jumps in and has a crack, takes marks running with the flight of the ball, I'm sure the statistics will tell you he has had so many 'clangers' but define a clanger? If he takes the ball out of a pack and looks to hit up a team mate on the lead and then it's punch out of bounds, or another player drops a mark? That's not his fault.. I think he is a certain starter and will play all games bar fitness, and will look a million times better when he has a midfield running back into defence to give him a chop out. But I like how you see one of our top 3 players needs to improve on areas like that, because when he does I could see him running through the midfield and killing it!

I know for a fact the dees, cats and dogs showed interest in Best.. Given we had couch as a rookie on our list who was not even given a decent go, why not have a look at best, let him train in an afl system for a year.. Ads plenty of spark down at Casey and when I watched him play against Geelong they even sent rivers to him to shut him down..

I've had a mate watch a fair bit of both of them.. Neither are good enough to play afl. Neville isn't a smart enough footballer and couch can't use the ball and is one paced..

So J Best doesn't get a game after kicking 35 goals for Casey?

I'd love to see jake best rookie listed!! Looked better than half of our listed players in the vfl last year.. Would be a waste to see him go to another club, considering he knows all the boys now..

I would definitely consider him for captain.. He is to Melbourne what Scarlett was at the cats. Still has abit more to do, to be at the same level but could definitely general from the back line. I would rather our captain be in the midfield atm. Garland has had a big enough work load in the last two years.. Jones for captain and Garland vice! Was watching the bulldogs replay last night and was loving the part where he took a mark and and then bumped Griffen out of the way!

I would definitely make Nathan Jones captain and make Col Garland and Jack Grimes vice captains
