  1. There's probably a lot of players who got knocked back before the draft started up - think we knocked back "The Dominator" as well - whoops !

  2. Let's wait & see....I think a lot can be learnt from this entire transaction. It is different to all others. What you say above, i agree with....But it is not the same as this one. The Club i hope becomes stronger because of it, as i said the day it happened, but that still does not stop the bad feeling i get from the whole shady affair. During 2011 i sat on the fence, seriously changing my opinion as certain snippets came through, but Range Rover was dead right all along, and even though he carried on like a pork chop in the aftermath & did himself no respect i give him some credit....The signs were there from way back...& the MFC was not educated enough to pick it up...no matter what we offered he would not have stayed. At least we saved money.

  5. The Parramatta - Penrith 'Blockbuster' is currently scheduled for Parramata Stadium which google tells me has a capacity of 20,000. The defensive moves by the NRL in many ways vindicate the AFL expansion into Western Sydney. The Giants will never win over the rusted on league fans but they might win over some of their kids and enough of the rest of the residents of Western Sydney to be viable. In many ways the AFL expansion is as much about money as it is about access to first choice athletic talent and in many ways the test for the Giants will just not be their own viability but the emergence of first choice athletes from the Western Sydney choosing AFL and thus expanding the depth of talent of the draft/player pool. To quote the famous New Zealand Philsopher Rachel Hunter 'it wont happen overnight but it will happen".

  12. Relax guys. He was at training yesterday, after being stuck in Alice Springs for 4 days due to the lunatic leprechaun who grounded Qantas. Neither Virgin or Tiger fly to Alice Springs so he had to wait to get a flight to Adelaide and then from there to Melbourne. He's in good shape and raring to go.

  15. The chains are on the car ready to go and hopefully our maid has given our Hotham chalet a clean-up prior to our arrival tomorrow. Our son Ben is bringing up a few of his Xavier College mates. Next week it's Becky and her group from Lauriston. I missed the season here last year as we decided to head over to Banff in Canada. Just couldn't stand to be in town while the Dees were losing.
