  1. #37 St Kilda – Nic Haynes (VIC – Mid/Fwd) Height: 191cm, Weight: 70kg, DOB: 18/05/1992 Recruited from: Dandenong Stingrays At that hight and weight, you just know we are going to draft this guy!!!!!
  2. They can take as many as they like as long as the club they are taking from allows it. Which in this case the Bulldogs did. They probably figured they would get better compo from the AFL then trying to trade / delist him.
  3. Great post!!! With that logic let’s see if we can get 17000 members next year. Clearly my loyalties are wrong and I must reconsider. Why did me and the wife bother purchasing a membership paying for a game that we did not attend. Your logic makes much more sense. If we have 17,000 members and 19,000 turn up then we have over achieved! We get screwed with scheduling and therefore we get compensation from the AFL for this. It’s a fact of life that mothers day is more important than football to a lot of people. I had a breakfast a lunch and a dinner to attend. I didn’t even bother watching the game on TV. Don’t worry, I now no longer consider myself a supporter and won’t be attending any more games.
  4. It certainly is. Chirnside Park (Watton Street, Werribee) is now named Avalon Airport Oval. There are lights at the ground so I assume the reserves are on after.
  5. From the club website Football: There are no more open training sessions scheduled for 2009. Training will recommence on Wednesday 6 January.
  6. I believe Melbourne are required to fly the parents in when interstate players debut. So they most likely had to organise flights for them and being the easter weekend, probably had to make sure they were available.
  7. Other than the fact that I was being completely sarcastic, my point was I put more trust in CAC then what I read on big footy. I too was upset we didn't get Rance, but I am basing my view on what I have read and not what I have seen for the past few years like out head recruiter does.
  8. Yeah, I am still upset we drafted Brock McLean, when the speedy Kane Tenace and ultra mobile Kepler Bradley were still available........
  9. Scores and best players? I missed the telecast.
  10. Godfrey. At least when Godfrey is not playing he sets a good example of hard work and determination. If the club wants a fat, useless, unwilling, lack of commitment player approaching 30, then I may as well get the boots out of the closet, I am their man.
  11. Why don't we just play our best 22? They managed to lose to Carlton twice last year.
  12. Don't worry theres plenty of places to get a good couch out there. Theres Freedom Furniture, OZ Design, Gainsville.... But no doubt we will end up with one from Fantastic Furniture. Cheap and looks ok, but will be out of date and broken after a year. Sorry couldn't resist.
  13. WOW If only the club could use hindsight to draft all its players. We would have the best list in the competition........
  14. Couldn't agree more. I cant stand it when they talk of Premiership players like they are all elite. Players like Neitz are 100 times better players than any of those.
  15. Players like Neaves and Bode are 2nd year rookies, so they will have to be upgraded or delisted at years end. So its not that silly a question to be asking. Bode will most likely be delisted, but it will be interesting to see what happens with Neaves.
