  1. Y is for Gen Y........Will Gen Y kids grow up seeing MFC as the most successful team in the AFL, with premierships number 13, 14, 15, 16 before 2020?
  2. From the Foxsports website: * Fox Footy will launch on air with the exclusive NAB Cup triangular match between Hawthorn, Richmond and North Melbourne on Friday February 17, 2012 * Fox Footy will be a standard inclusion at no extra charge for Foxtel’s basic sports tier in a standard Foxtel broadcast subscription package. Supplemental charges will apply for HD and Xbox customers. * There is not a match during the home-and-away season that Fox Footy will not broadcast LIVE, in HD and SD UNINTERRUPTED siren to siren. This includes the Anzac day game, Dreamtime at the G, Mother's Day clash, Showdowns, Derbys, Q Clash, Carlton v Collingwood etc. Every match and always LIVE, UNINTERRUPTED and in HD. * All finals matches (other than the grand final) will be broadcast LIVE, in HD and SD UNINTERRUPTED siren to siren. * Where there are two games at any one time (for example on a Saturday afternoon), one LIVE game will be on Fox Footy, the other LIVE game will be on Fox Sports 1. Fox Footy will be the channel of destination – Fox Sports 1 will be the channel dealing with LIVE game clashes. * The NAB Cup is EXCLUSIVE to Foxtel (other than the grand final, which Channel Seven will simulcast withFox Footy) – and Fox Footy will show 29 NAB Cup matches EXCLUSIVE & LIVE, in HD & UNINTERRUPTED siren to siren. * In Victoria: In a regular nine-game round, the Saturday early afternoon game will be broadcast on a 90-minute delay on Seven. It is LIVE on Fox Footy along with all other eight games in the round.
  3. The Melbournefc website has had Trenners and Chip on the sides of the homepage for quite some time. Now it is Jones and Green. Why the switch? Does this say anything about the Leadership group?
  4. Many are missing the guts of it. A coach must have a team that suits his style. Roos is a very defensive coach. Stoppage at all costs. Malthouse and Clarkson are very attacking coaches. Use the midfield, and have several forward options to use. Melbourne have a young list that is suited to an attacking style....not a defensive style. So Roos would not fit at MFC. The great unknown is Sanderson. As a backman, you would guess that he is a defensive style coach, but having worked under Scott and Bomber, he must have an understanding of attacking footy. The only thing that stuffs up this theory is that a coach is also seen as the principle marketing voice of the club. But I think Premierships do more for marketing than individuals, so I'll stick with my original hypothesis.
  5. Sorry Redleg, but you are not correct. The new concussion guidelines state that a concussed player is not to return to the ground on the day of the concussion. What happens the following week is dependant upon the recovery. ie fully recovered - can play. Still symptomatic - can't play. If Dangerfield is asymptomatic at rest and post-exercise, and his neuropsychological test has returned to baseline, he may play. Regards....
