I was sitting in the olympic stand and did anyone happen to notice that the players run flat-chat to the interchange, it's the hardest they run at anything, it's as if they can't wait to get off!!!!

Yes.

Fwiw, I think it was 60:40 Roos/MFC supporters. Talk of 75% Roos supporters is - IMHO - ridiculous.

I get to take my 11 month old son for the forst time this week into the social club. Hope he brings us good luck. Its gonna be different not yelling and screaming like i have the past 10 years.

I was there in MCC members on my own until the end... 3rd game this season

I don't know if i'm a glutton for punishment or what, but i love to be there for every minute of it and digest as much footy as I possibly can.

It hurts yeah, but i can see where the guys are trying to do something they're still unfamiliar with, and knowing all teams go through this at some stage i just sit by and bide my time.

I'm sick of idiot 'supporters' though that go and constantly moan throughout the game. I'm probably happier when the crowd is small like that so i don't have to listen to it.

Our time will come and the grand old flag will fly proudly again.

I applaud you all for going, but these threads make me furious, um, even more so. Blaming fans for the state of the club is not only counter productive but patently absurd. I know most of you haven't done this but it was clearly the doctors intention starting the thread.

I can't get to every game and I'm sure many others with a life are in the same boat. Friday night and Saturday day games are impossible because of work and the odd Sunday away game I take the opportunity to get up the country and visit my parents and my brothers and their families. It's a heinous sin putting my carrer and family ahead of the footy club I know. I give this club plenty of dosh every year, I spend more on friggin raffle tickets than my membership, but if thats not good enough drdrake and astrodee maybe I should take my money and go, is that what you want?

    It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill.     Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
