You might say im conducting a witch hunt and I might say your sticking your head in the sand.

But I think we would both agree that weather arguing for or against him none of us on here would actually know enough to put a factual case either way.

All im saying is that as our strength and conditioning coach, with an injury list like ours, it shouldnt surprise anyone that people would be asking hows he going. None of that actually says it is actually his fault.

You would be quite mistaken.

I am not arguing one way or other re BB. In absence of facts or evidence, I dont see how any poster can mount a credible argument either way. On that point I agree with you.

The fact is I have not got a clue about whether BB is doing a good job or not. I dont know the bloke and would not recognise him in the street. From what I have read on this site, I dont think other posters are much different in this matter. However, I have read a number of criticisms and condemnations of the bloke (more than just how he is going) that have not shown a scintilla of knowledge of what actually goes on at the Club or any collaborating evidence supporting the criticism. Everytime I have asked for factual evidence of his failings by his faceless critics there's not a peep.

If there is factual evidence of an MFC official failing his duties then he should go...period. Allegations of failure without proof represents a witch hunt IMO.

And on your point if the injury list is a consequence of conditioning then BB should go. I think the Footy Department are in the best position to make that assessment not uninformed non de plumes on a public website.

How horribly mistaken I am...

For thinking that its not unreasonable for questions to be asked about the performance of the person directly responsible for our players conditioning when we have an injury list longer than one of Dappa's post's.

I 100% agree with you that those that already consider him guilty without anything factual to base it on are being presumptuous and premature. As I have already stated, in the absence of any compelling factual knowledge none of us on here would actually have a clue.

All im saying is that if 08 turns out to be similar to 07 injury wise, questions will be asked and some of them will be about BB. If that surprises you than you surprise me.

Is the injury list that long? :o

I think your questioning of him is fine.

Hi I have been a member for 25 years, i have a platinum membership card and lets be honest:

Bartram: didn't play much last year.

Bruce: Star, but too many injuries.

Carrol: What did he do last year?(How many goals were scored against him?)

Davey: Quick.

Dunn: if he added some muscle he would almost look like HE' Man.

Frawley: Hopefully he is as good as Danny.

Grimes: Who is that? How many games did he play last year?

C. Johnson: To up and down.

B. McLean: The tooth brush love him!

Miller: Wanted to trade him last year, now he is in our leadership group?Sounds like we are getting desperate.

Moloney: Once again too many injuries, ( why did the cats get rid of him?)

Morton: Hasn't played a game yet buddy.

Neitz: Absolute champion, but i think he was forced to play this year (whats that telling ya?)

Petterd: went through alot of pain, feel for him.

Rivers: Did he play last year?

Wheatly: Knows how to kick a ball a long way.

Whelan: I like him, a real hard nut.

..

Welcome aboard lodski.

Now that the niceties are out of the way, as a platinum member, I gather that you actually take an interest in the club? FYI, Jack Grimes was our 2nd pick in last year's national draft, and no. 14 overall. In essence, he's what we got for trading Travis Johnstone to Brisbane.

Clint Bizzell was already selected and barely holding down a back flank position. So he was already in. And he has shown little capacity up forward whenever thrown there while at MFC. He was hardly a replacement but I agree I did not see the sense in playing Robbo.

Bizzell was not selected rounds 17-21 while Davey, Robertson and Wheatley played injured.

Was form really a factor considering team performance?

However it is now a mute point, being back in injury plauged 2007 while injury plauged 2008 is already upon us!

Thanks. I stand corrected on Bizzell.

I do recall when they did drop him at that time, I thought that was the end for him. But you are right I would not have played Davey, Robbo and Wheatley.

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
