Judds Motives for Moving

Chris have you come home to be with your Melbourne supporting family or to be at Collingwood?

Mike Sheahan says that Collingwood have been in his managers ear for 6 months, so he has come home to be with Collingwood. Sheahan knew something but wasn't letting on, he knew Collingwood were the only ones in this

If this is indeed true, I propose the forming of a lynch mob. This bastard played us.

You're not suggesting that this was engineered well in advance by Collingwood and Judd or his management are you?

Perhaps that might explain why Collingwood seemed so cool about not interviewing Judd until their season was over. You don't usually do that unless you're fairly sure about getting your prey.

Sheahan said last week that the drums had been playing for 6 months on this

Agree WJ, i thought too they were a bit nonchalant about speaking to Judd, i thought that they would have done it on the quiet when they were still playing.

He reportedly bought a 1.6 million dollar home in Prahran 12 months ago. Any Pie help with that?

I still reckon he will have trouble getting there, WC hate the McChins and they have no early picks, they will have to trade some very good young blokes, I see him going to the tankers

The tankers have facilities like ours and a worse list.

I think a sad piece of this is that he could have made himself a hero to our club and been widely accepted by the footy community in playing for the club he barracked for. He seems to have gone for the money and will probably end up one of the most unpopular players in the competition. He will play for a club that is our version of Manly and I can see Carlton, WCE, Essendon and Melbourne fans disliking him especially and then those others that dislike the Pies will have him as the number one Pie and the most disliked of all. Pity as I always liked him and personally don't even now dislike him.

As I said yesterday, the bloke has sold his soul. This is a victory for Gordon Gekko in the fight against truth, justice and the Australian way? Don't blame him for chasing the filthy lucre but why waste our time pretending he was interested in other clubs?

Judd & Connors may have painted themselves into a corner.

Rejecting MFC on basis of facilities today ( Connors as manager of current MFC players has full knowledge of Junction oval status and would be valid reason for not including MFC on shortlist NOT excluding now! Also If Judd goes to Blues the reason for rejecting MFC wont stack up as Optus is crap & no certai future and not at MCC!

If Judd goes to Pies then give creadence to the Sheahan view!!

If that is case other clubs have been used and my view if this could well be a stategic smokescreen to cove up the predone deal (ala Malthouse which Eddie arranged well before end of season.

Will be interesting to see how WCE play this as Pies cant be over the line cos (1) dont have early picks and (2) WCE dont like PiesFC.

MFC better off letting Dean B and CC plus CAC build a TEAM based on our young guns rather relying on one superstar (ala ND with Whitey and RDB with Moore and Templeton).

BTW best trade - diamond jim tilbrook to Uni blues(?) amateurs from MFC!! fee ziltch

Exactly, we were short listed as a facade/charade of a deal that was done months ago. Lets hope West Coast dig their heals in & make the filth & Carlton work for Judd.

If they cant agree, I doubt WC will lose Judd to Richmond in the pre season.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well …

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
