Won't happen for McAdam unless he breaks down again. He's only 2-3 away now. He's going to come back and be better than Charlie Cameron. 😎 Heard it from a reliable sauce.

Um, no I don't think so, unfortunately more than cooked!!

From the horses mouth:

Tom McDonald
(23 disposals, 8 marks, 2 tackles)

“Tommy was fantastic and did everything we asked of him.

“He won his position convincingly, used the ball well and made strong decisions with it.

“It was a big tick for him in his return to VFL football.”

You’re entitled your opinion, you don’t have Tom in your team, but the absurdly negative rhetoric you’re throwing at a champion of the club, premiership player and great club and team man is getting tiresome. He may play, he may not, you want to go small against Lynch, Lefau and Ryan, risky but fair enough, that’s your opinion. Stop bashing our players. I also find you’re the only person who says they’ve watched the VFL game that doesn’t have TMac in the best. Everyone from the coach to AFL.com to multiple demonlanders did, maybe, just maybe, you’re biased against him and not seeing things objectively.

Happy to agree to disagree on selection, not happy to read you constantly dragging our players in every thread. Ease off it please.

Bravo post.

Another big thanks to Ghostwriter, Harvey Wallbanger, Kev, all posters and special comments, loved the Kolt story and can support the level of noise being generated by DA and all MFC supporters at the ground it was loud, intense and a bit insane but thoroughly enjoyable.

No it's not. He's cooked.

Rubbish,

Gee a legit training session at Gosch’s tomorrow, I might have to get down there on my bike. I would normally drive the Corvette but there is no where to park down that way.

I'm on annual leave so might ride the bike down too. Haven't been to Gosch's in a while.

Well, as close to legit as is possible at Gosch’s. It’s scheduled to run for an hour only. A main training session at Gosch’s is nothing like main training out at Casey.

Do you think the squad will arrive early and leave a little later?

One hour is short for a main session.

They have a team meeting before training so they will probably come out at the scheduled time. But I reckon they’ll be there for longer than one hour.

Petty will be in concussion protocols so he'll definitely miss Friday

Whilst I agree that Petty is unlikely to play on Friday my understanding is that he did not enter the concussion protocols - let's await further information from the Club.

Not true at all. I love McDonald he's a premiership player and I was glad he was able ressurrect his career as a chb, I thought they took too long to do it always thought it was his best position, but time has caught up with him I think he's not the player he once was and time catches up with everyone. It's not McDonald bashing it's just my opinion.

I wouldn't take a a word from the coach his job is to put a positive spin on everything. We were poor we were down by 50 points at one stage and kicked a couple of goals at the end to make the scoreboard look respectable. Mentha was OK and Henderson and McDonald tried hard but it wasn't one of McDonald's best performances that's for sure. I think we can do Better. My opinion is both Petty and McDonald aren't in our best 23 until they show some better form.

That’s fair enough. You’re entitled to your opinion. I disagree on the VFL performance, the team was poor but Tom did everything that was asked of him and kicked better than I’ve seen him for a while, including some difficult risky ones. I think we got belted as we were light on for AFL players and some of our VFL top ups couldn’t go with Brisbanes supremely fit and healthy AFL listed players. I enjoyed Menthas game also. Agree to disagree on Ton, I think he’s shown enough. We wait and see.

Its phrases like “cooked” “done” “finished” which you used earlier in this thread and in the selection thread that I object to and would define as bashing. Your opinion is as you say above he hasn’t shown enough form yet, fair enough, it also seems your opinion is you worry he won’t get back there, fair enough, but don’t throw around phrases like “cooked”. It’s unnecessary.

Anyway sorry to derail Ghosty’s excellent training thread and ripping anecdote on Kolt, I’m looking forward to your many teams I’m sure you’ll be posting soon. I’d like to see what you’d do if Riv, Salem, Viney, Bowey and CJ were all available. Cheers

Cooked is a little harsh probably shouldn't have used it. A lot of people use it on here so I used it. I'll take your advise on board and never use it again.
