That was a great game Freo v Crows. Difficult to read the Crows due their injury list but I reckon both will be near the pointy end of September.

Alex Pearce is a huge defender at over 200 cm.

He's listed at 100 kg but looks more like at least 105.

Maybe his hair adds a couple of kegs.

Moves well too for a big guy.

Terrible

I find both teams largely inoffensive and tend to barrack for both a lot in neutral games. As such I was watching with not much skin in it but a loose preference for the Crows. Absolutely intense finish. Love our game when it’s like that.

Best day of footy on Good Friday I can remember.

Was a great game to watch live, a great contest. Despite being 1-3 I think Adelaide is still a contender provided they can stop getting repeated injuries.

Out of the 4 players that left us, the McVee departure sat with me the worst. Every time I see him in a Freo jumper I hope he stuffs up, and he’s had his share of stuff ups so far.

At least with the others:

Trac - a mutual divorce that netted us some very good picks.

Clarry - we booted him out (for good reason) so you can’t bear too much ill will to him from a loyalty point of view.

Spargo - seems like a decent fella that needed another opportunity to prolong his profession.
