Featured Replies

Afternoon all.

@Trackwatchers and regular in-the-know's ...

I can see no info for any training this week. Have we gone 'stealthy? 🤷

Any and all insights , information and gleanings most appreciated.

@Ghostwriter @Harvey Wallbanger @anyone😆

Last Tuesday the sessions were advertised as above but in reality there were three sessions with the first session beginning at 10:30am.

Tomorrow may or may not be the same as last week 🤷‍♀️

No information yet on main training - guessing that it will be out at Casey, given we don't play until Sunday....

Yeah main training will be at Casey because we aren’t playing interstate.

I’ve just had it confirmed that unlike last Tuesday, tomorrow’s sessions will start at the scheduled times, ie. the first session begins at 12:15pm and the second at 2:45pm. Each session will go for 45 minutes.

Training hasn’t started yet but I’ve already got an update on Disco!

Disco has a broken hand. He had surgery yesterday morning and is expected to be back in Round 4.

This is from our head physio. I just ran into him at the cafe under AAMI.

I hope you didn't hurt him.

It’s AJ I almost hurt. He was coming out of the cafe as I was walking in. It was a close call. I know who’d come off second best. Clue… not AJ

That’s good news! Didn’t know how long he would be out for but this is the best news he only misses a week hopefully!!

Round 4 is next week? So he might just miss the one week?

Would be a pretty good result if so.

According to Pete the head physio. He’s confident too.

And so it begins, actually I’m surprised it’s taken this long.

I’m telling folks what I’ve been told.

No strapping on Luker’s leg 👍🏽

Im neither disbelieving nor disputing your information.

I'm just amazed.

Depending on the severity of the break, i would have thought one week is pretty common.

I might be imaginimg this, but i seem to remember a number of examples over the years of a player breaking their hand, getting a plate put in and then being good to go after only missing one or two games (it's probably helpful we have an 8 day break into the blues game and then 7 day's into the Suns game).

Once they insert a plate depending how big the crack is, and in this case it sounds like a small one, then its more so the wound that needs to heal then the actual break as the plate would be there holding it together.

Doesn't make it any less amazing though.

The quality of medical intervention, and the toughness of the players.

Where's McAdam these days? Will we ever see him?

Unfortunately probably not. Recovering from achillies and a calf I believe

Might need to go get the curtain for him.

He might be part of the group doing the second session

Love your detective work Ghosty!

31 players availed of the early flush session (plus Vines (makes 32) - see below), so probably easier to note who wasn't there.

Viney turned up after the others and was doing some serious wrestling and stationery work, so it looks like the achilles is OK for that type of work - no significant running yet though.

Of the rehabbers - Luker was part of the 31 - no strapping, but didn't do the modest handball game they undertook.

Melky (no strapping) ,Fritta and Langford did just laps at various stages. Campbell doing some very limited mobility work - did not join the game. Others who played on the weekend (TMac part of the 31 above) who did not do the session:

Van Rooyen, Lever, Matthews, Rivers, Petty, Kosi - may do the afternoon session?

Rehabbers not present: Turner, Bowey, Jefferson, McAdam, White, Johnson.

Trackwatchers a little concerend about Langford - doesn't look well (did little of the session) and left early.

Otherwise the boys looked in reasonable spirits.
