Are we wearing this jumper this weekend?

I highly rate this clash jumper.

Be to close to purple wouldn’t it. Think we’ll go with the Royal blue

What is going to happen in four weeks time if there is no fuel ? Will the Afl close the comp down ? Many people will no be able to get to work resulting in more unemployment , perhaps there will be massive shortage of food. We will certainly be going GREEN. Our previous leaders shut down oil refineries because they wanted to keep prices up and possibly(doubt it) reduce pollution due to fossil fuel. Sending ships containing petroleum to Oz could lead to a massive enviromental problem if the ship is sunk. Hopefully the crisis is over soon.

I wish to thank the Founders and the Protectors of this great country. Most of all I want us to win another flag.

Don’t worry, Chris Bowen’s renewables will save the country.🤣

Cheer up! We won't run out of fuel. Some years back fuel shortages led to rationing. We survived. People became creative eg WFH, car pooling, public transport, delayed holidays, etc etc

As long as there are trains to the footy the show will go on!!

Sure will with my electric car. What fuel crisis?

I read somewhere (and heard on the deebrief podcast) that we'll be wearing a retro jumper.

I don't think we'll be wearing royal blue on Saturday.

After nabbing white from them it all seems to be one way traffic their way though - about time we got a couple of good ones back

Ed Langdon has been pretty decent.

Gotta say it’s gonna be hot; I’m in the Globe Hotel beer garden watching Crows Dogs - was 35 degrees when we arrived today.

Good call leaving Moose at home. Running game tomorrow.

Hope they are selling the Flame jumper at the ground tomorrow. Go Dees

Omac Jackson Wagner McVee all playing for freo... gives weird vibes.

The demon freo link has long been strong but this is next level.

Sylvia, White, Chisholm, Farmer. Longmuir, cuddles Connelly coaching them....

Don’t forget Langdon

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

  • NON-MFC: Round 02

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

  • POSTGAME: St. Kilda

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
