Looking forward to watching Sam Grlj. I thought he was a chance to come to us, loved his run and carry in highlight package.

Richmond just need to hang in for a half and then Carlton will take it from there

This is the best the Blues can play. I can see the Tigers winning from here.

How many dives in 1 qtr of footy?! Really annoying to watch

Geez Jagga’s disposals have mostly been horrible.

The lad can seriously play, but his disposals don't hurt at all. He is going to have to develop some impact.

50m penalty to Lynch for a goal. 4 replays and the commentators don’t even venture a guess what it was for.

Jagga with 7 score involvements in a Q

not bad

I'd say because it was pretty obvious to them that it was Carlton player refusing to stand the mark where he should have been. Maybe less so to the average watcher. There's an focus from umps on standing the mark early this season. Fox/360 had razor on this week going through quite a few scenarios from last weeks games where players weren't standing where the mark of ball or in line with player taking free kick. Its going to be cracked down on early.

So you don’t just Stand anymore? how is someone meant to hear what a ump is saying with 80K fans yelling??

looked like the guy was doing his best to follow instructions

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
