Melky gets over the back with a long goal kick. Moving well throw away the walking 🚶‍♀️ stick!

big ah-mu looked strong there, hes the NGA we passed up on last year

He was really a Clayton’s NGA because we couldn’t draft him under the Academy rules. Looks a likely type.

Trelly is a running machine.

Any goals from him?

What's the story with #29 is he someone that should be on our list or going to be in future?

Sure, if he can outrun his own shadow

lindsay is gonna be a helluva player

of all our kids, he's the one that excites me most

Upside is huuuuge.

With his pcl injury he was drafted with he basically only dud half a preseason last year.

i think im right in saying he has had an injury free preseason this year and I reckon we'll see a different plsyer this season.

you know that age old debate about which player would be the best to have 22 of to win a game, ill go with 22 of anyone named pickett

Our leading man from Phantom #44 getting some ruck duties. 2nd ruck forward hybrid the 5th man?

Ed Langdon going alright goal.

might struggle winning the taps in the ruck, but i'd back em in to win the clearance

Turnover city at present but love that we are trying to move the ball quickly and still finding their feet with the new game plan.

I'm willing to accept an increase in turnovers in the early rounds if there is a willingness to take the game on like we have seen today. Over time, fitness will increase meaning the skill mistakes will decrese (less fatigue).

2nd time Langdon has gotten deep to kick a goal.

Could probably play another 5 intraclubs after this

tholstrup as half back is something we've not seen before - he's got the defensive intensity to suit the role

footy brain / awareness of positional situation / speed of decision making a worry

he just reminds me too much of tapscott

I've noticed that when the turnovers are coming from us trying to go fast instead of slow and methodical, it's so much easier to forgive...

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
