He's a class act Chris Connolly.

He's not the right coach for us going forward, but I hope he gets a gig somewhere else. Him going is as much about the players as it is about him, I don't think any coach could have done a better job with the egos involved at Freo.

Agree - he has dignity and this players have let him down, unfortunately as did some of ours :ph34r:

Agree with that Hards, he handled the press conference well and has always seemed pretty open and honest......

He's not the right coach for us going forward, but I hope he gets a gig somewhere else.

But this is also true and hopefully we don't go down that path.

I wonder if in the restructure there isn't a role for him in the MFC food chain, but not as coach. I have my doubts about his coaching, but like others have stated he is a very solid individual of strong moral fibre, something that seems to be lacking a little over there in the west.

Chris Connolly's resignation was inevitable thanks to comments made in recent days by the Fremantle president about his position as coach.

However, I heard someone make a statement on SEN (I didn't get his name) that Fremantle treated the situation differently to Melbourne which should have taken note of the way the Dockers treated Connolly. The implication was that Melbourne handled the Daniher situation badly while, by way of contrast, Fremantle handled it professionally.

The guy's talking rubbish and is a complete imbecile. The Dockers stabbed Connolly in the back and acted IMO poorly. Does anyone know who this bloke is?

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.     Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session.
