Yeah, for sale at our home games. 🙂 I'd guess finals, too.

great win

always satisfying to win down there

challenged in the first but steadied and won convincingly in the end

Zanker and hanks best. contributions across the board

home prelim to look forward to now against the Lions most likely

whatever happens from here i think we've exceeded expectations

go dees

Where is she going?

She is out of contract & we've put a contract in front of her, but so far she hasn't signed on

Are we out if we lose to Brisbane? Confused about how AFLW finals work.

Works the same as the men. Top four get the double chance.

same format as the mens

if we lose we have a second chance

We have to win.

This team should have a home prelim.

Eliza was curtailed. Geelong gave us little width and we make silly mistakes and what I call ‘look up’ mistakes; taking an extra second dwelling on the ball because what you see up field is not exactly what you thought. You then get tackled or you give it up. The best teams you’ll notice it is just unconscious - they don’t think, they act, the thinking has been done on the track and players know where there teammates will be. Alyssa Bannan plays sometimes like a new born baby who is figuring out object permanence. She’s not alone.

But Tyla, Eden, Tayla, Megan, and the Defence won that game for us with individual moments of brilliance.

They are a fun team to watch and a great team to root for. Can’t say the same of the men’s the last few years.

Gee we've had some injuries and challenges this year. A great effort to lock down a top 2 finish.

I'm not super confident, but if we can put 4 quarters of our best footy together, we can roll anyone.

A great third quarter.

Really liked the way Mick rolled Harris I to defence at the end of each quarter to hold us steady.

Go Dees, let's steal this flag from Norf

Georgia Gall is going to waste a great talent if she can’t lift her intensity in contest and stop short stepping into contact.

She will also get herself hurt and injured the way she half gets into spots.

The juxtaposition between Tayla and her is stark, and while no one should expect her to be on the other end of the spectrum she is almost unplayable without the stars that accompany her in the forward line. Georgia Campbell has improved in that space so I hope she can emulate her namesake.

You can get them at home games and the Demon Shop.

This is one I was wearing tonight…

And when I was coming off the ground after banner a woman approached me, pointed to my badge and said, “That’s my daughter!” We chatted for a bit then she said, “Oh and you’ve got Denby’s number on your jumper!” I didn’t have the heart to tell her it’s on my jumper because Melky. But tonight #18 was all about Dingo.

The #33 jumper and badge stayed home tonight because LJ was omitted. But something tells me they may never see the light of day again 😕

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • PREGAME: St. Kilda

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?

  • REPORT: Richmond

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.

Kozzy Pickett was the man of the match last week and has a vote lead over backup ruck Max Heath who didn't play this week and 5 votes over former Saint Jack Steele. Who gets the votes in this weeks shortened match win over the Tigers? Your votes please. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1.

It's Game Day and the 2026 AFL Premiership season is almost upon us as the Demons take to the field for their final practice match before the first ball is kicked in anger in 16 days time. What are you expecting to see from the Dees today as they take on the Tigers at Mars Stadium in Ballarat?
