No, thatโ€™s why I said "they won't all be".

Huge if true.

We are awful then. Sad.

Disagree here. Dont think a top 15 talent in this draft walks into our best 23 at all. Itโ€™s a demonstrably weaker draft than the one in which we took Koltyn pick 13, and 2 years in heโ€™s on the periphery and playing most weeks at Casey.

Besides, I donโ€™t want to lose an absolute superstar of our club for a couple of kids that can play a role without setting the world on fire.

Gator - Everyone can have their own view on what they would prefer the club do.

A lot of water to go under the bridge for this trade. the word is he wants to come back to Victoria. essentially a win win for both of us if done now.

Given it still many days to go they'll keep talking in private to work out a deal, they have the capital and players to get a good deal for us. Look at Geelong and their pitch for Curnow. If clubs want something they'll make

either ahhpen.

Me too. I'd rather them make Petracca walk back in with his tail between his legs. Because, rightly or wrongly, I reckon the Suns will cave at the last moment. Getting Petracca in is too big for them to overlook. Especially for a player who will leave in the next year, or two, anyway.

Do Melbourne have the balls ? Unfortunately, I'm guessing they don't. I hope I'm wrong.

AI Overview

"Just go with the flow. Rizz, 6 7 Skibidi Toilet" is a combination of internet slang and references to the popular, albeit controversial, animated web series Skibidi Toilet. "Rizz" means charisma or skill in flirting, while "Skibidi Toilet" refers to the series about toilets with human heads. The number "6-7" is also a recent, nonsensical piece of internet slang.ย

Breakdown of the Terms

  • Just go with the flow:

A common idiom meaning to relax and adapt to a situation.ย

  • Rizz:

Short for "charisma," meaning charm or skill in flirting or attracting someone.ย

  • 6-7:

A recent, nonsensical addition to internet slang that carries no inherent meaning but has become a popular meme phrase among younger internet users.ย

  • Skibidi Toilet:

A popular, ongoing animated web series by DaFuq!?Boom! featuring animated toilets with human heads singing the song "Skibidi Dop Dop Yes Yes".ย

Context

These terms are frequently used by Generation Alpha (born 2012 or later). The phrase "Skibidi toilet rizz" is considered part of this demographic's lingo, and parents and guardians often express confusion about the terms' meanings and origins.ย

In Summary

When someone says "Just go with the flow. Rizz, 6 7 Skibidi Toilet," they are likely combining a common phrase with a collection of nonsensical internet slang, including the latest viral term "Skibidi toilet rizz," to create a humorous or playful, though confusing, statement.ย

They've talked some big "head-turning trade" talk, it's a great test to walk the talk. I didn't think they'd have the cohones to sack Goodwin and do it when they did so they could get the new coach in before trade week, so that was a good sign. Here's hoping ...

two thiings can both be true, yes i think two top 10s could both walk into our starting side next year but that doesn't mean its not a weak draft and im sure if given the chance we would prefer to be picking from a stronger bunch.

the profiles in the 5-15 range dont have explicit stand out traits like in other drafts and you could easily walk into a hobbs/tsatas/clark type of so:so midfielder. langford was a really good prospect and would probably be 1 in this draft, so if there was the chance to move further up or push one back a year i have no doubt we would look to do so, or split them to target needs at 15-25 if thats where who we likes is going to fall

Bailey for trac just makes too much sense,

We get a player to build with langford, pickett and co

They get a player that could help them get a premiership next year and beyond while anderson and rowel are in there prime. And they still have the rogers, lombard and zeke to come through.

Plus if they traded us pick 7 and 8 they would then instantly screw us because they are taking two academy players before that. Plus dean f/s carlton and brisbane academy player.

So really its picks 10,11 . No thanks

Nope they won't all be. I'll give Petracca and 23 for Humphrey if necessary.

Me too. If that's what it requires, do it.

I suspect getting a "very good" player at 6 and 7 will be extremely difficult. Getting one at 23 would be something else.

Although it's not ideal, I'd give our future 1st if it meant landing Humphrey. Kid will be a star and more than likely, better than whatever we land with a F1.

Besides, we need to be backing ourselves to get close to the 8 or in it next year. Humphrey helps us do that. Draft picks don't.

I'm not sure why people are assuming that "come back to Victoria" means "come to Melbourne FC".

Hawthorn are in this and are going hard - and would be an attractive proposition to Humphrey given where they're at.

Because the suns have almost no incentive to trade BH full stop but maybe the only tiny chance is if it was the only way to get petracca and he were desperate to go.

I think weโ€™re a tiny chance and everyone else is zero

Surely, depends on who you pick? Langford certainly made a difference, and Lindsay could have as well with a full pre-season.

Also, there's the presumption that if we get 7 & 8, we use them. But another possibility is that we somehow use one/both of those picks to push even further up the draft.

Or for a late trade for ... god knows who.

The one incentive is that he's making it pretty clear that he wants to come home at some point. Do they squeeze a couple of years of potentially great footy out of him and then trade him with a weaker hand when he's OOC, or do they bite the bullet now?

(Still think it's very unlikely myself, but worth throwing the kitchen sink at.)

If Iโ€™m the suns I keep him because he helps you win a flag in that time even if he does eventually leave

But if itโ€™s the only way to land petracca and he really wants out , you at least consider it

It's been explained, at least once on this board, that the Hawks have nothing to give other than picks, which the Suns don't want/need. Certainly no player of the calibre of Petracca.

Many would argue that pick 17 in last yearโ€™s draft had a better year (in his first season) than Humphrey had last year.

Statistically similar years in many ways.

No, it doesn't depend who you pick because we're losing two mature bodies around the ball.

We've been here before. You can't expect first year mids to compete with most midfields. They need protection to grow and that means mature bodies.

Humphrey is a maturing body that is ready for the midfield and won't get it at the Suns. Particularly with Trac in the team.

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
