Yeh, right. So you have sensitive inside information that you decide to share on a fan forum so that, what?

It doesn’t help the process but might hinder it if GC think someone at MFC is leaking. There’s no upside. People genuinely in the know don’t leak on a fan forum because they know their information supply dries up.

Ok

is it really sensitive inside information though?

We are negotiating with Suns around Trac. Including a suns player in the conversation is not usual

the media are reporting the rumours around Bailey. He walked around the tan with chunk and Kingy.

sounds like standard trade week posturing and horse-trading. and perhaps forever demon is being fed this info because it suits the club for this info to be out there

I'm just surmising and could be wrong of course

D Day tomorrow apparently. Meeting scheduled.

No photos will be found on the web for this meeting. Dollars and terms to be discussed which says to me they have some sort of indication that Bailey has interest.

Does he also have meetings with other clubs or just only strictly talking to Melbourne at this stage.

Our midfield won't be that thin. Gawn, Pickett, Viney, Langford, Lindsay, Windsor, Langdon, Culley, Rivers, Tholstrup is ok and we will likely pick up another midfielder in the draft. We might lose some ball winning with Oliver and Petracca going, but we get better kicking skill. With another player on the bench and more flexible players, I think we will likely see more midfield rotations next year.

Any midfield should be ok under Max.

There's definitely talent there but most of it is very raw and needs protection to develop effectively.

To be informative. Jump to any other forum and it happens there. I have invested interest, I too am a passionate MFC supporter

Thanks so much for the updates @Demon Forever !

Wouldn't be surprised if we miss out on BH that there is another player involved, like Rogers or Walter. Can't see the trade not going ahead and it's going to be really hard to extract Bailey from GC. 100% believe we're doing our best though and keeping everything crossed we can do it!

Possibility. To cut it down in simple terms:

Trac wants Gold coast (Approved)

Bailey has advised his player manager that he wants to go home (Bailey approved but not from Gold coast perspective)

Gold coast steadfast (Blocker)

Deal - Is solely on GC to relent and get the deal done (Melbourne has advised that a deal would be done for Bailey).

All parties have agreed except Gold coast

This myth again

Please tell me who is the last contracted big name star player that Lamb has traded away for less than he's worth?

He let ANB leave for the same pick he believed Shane McAdam was worth

I already answered the ANB point in a previous post

Go read it

How do you feel it will go down? Do you feel Bailey still a fair chance or you feel they'll offer up another player we will accept?

Every Player manager would know about this. They have to. Do you think its any coincidence that when MFC expressed their interest in Bailey that other teams came chasing also?

Hardly sensitive information.

very confident based on their want for Trac.

So Gold coast needs to decide petracca or Humphrey? Ball is in there court and which player gets them closer to a flag in next few years

I have to say that I don't think Demon Forever's posts will in any way damage negotiations.

You think it will be Humphry, pics or other player?

Yep. Dees position is if you are willing to sign trac on a 4 or 5 year deal, you are saying that their is a 5 year window to win a premiership his services.

If Demon Forever knows what's happening, trust that so does Gold Coast, Melbourne and literally the rest of the list managers in the AFL

If we wanted to keep this stuff hush hush, we wouldn't walk around the most walked around track in Melbourne with Humphrey, nor would Humphrey post that not so subtle 'get me home' post on his Instagram

CAC used to come on here, and if he still does, I doubt he's reading the posts and going "WTF how do I not know this"

Elegantly framing this as a one-off situation in order to prevent a stampede.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
