You have an unhealthy obsession with Chin and what you see as his faults. You use words like “repulsive” and “imposter” to describe him. Seems rather savage. I’m thinking there’s more to it than a dislike for a certain player. Maybe you know him personally, maybe you have a history with him 🤷‍♀️

yes i believe he is an imposter. I think he goes out there hoping not to stuff it up rather than thinking how can i bust into this game and have an influence.

he is an imposter because no one really notices this psychology in him. it's the kind of psychology of a Billings. While Chandler is better than Billings and has some good games, he only does enough to make the team forget that for the rest of the season he is taking up precious space in the team.

he's not meant to be there.

I reckon Comben is very good. Pink isn’t bad, either.

Agreed - but they are war horses. Neither are rated in the league's top 350 players.

What has TMac done to be banished from this rabble? He was one of our most consistent defenders before being dropped. Chalk up another Goodwin non selection stuff up this season.

This

The team selection integrity is, well, not so integrity-ish

TMac of course

TMac hasn't played forward for a couple of seasons and by his own admission, can't jump anymore (feet are shot).

Welcome to Demonland, otherwise known as Fantasyland where everything and anything is possible.

I think he is entitled to feel p-ssed off.

How do you know he's [censored] off?

Why on earth did we drop Tmac anyway, he was one of our best and most reliable players, Got dropped while in form???

We dropped him in favour of Turner, you know, playing the kids and developing them etc. etc.

Which was the right decision, Turner is already a better tall defender than Tom.

He was dropped for Lever, not Turner.

I know we all love T Mac but he is not Scarlet. He was playing well but was still turning it over and not propelling us forward. He has been average at Casey since going back. He is not the future. Turner is clearly our best defender this year.

Goody has dropped one of his favourites and it’s bloody harsh on T Mac but footy can be like that

Come on now, Bing. You know how it goes. Tmac is [censored] off because Demonland says he is. And Demonland says he’s [censored] off because they assume he is and because it’s yet another opportunity to slag off on Goody.

This reminds me of the overdose of posts [censored]-canning Goody for the non-selection of Grundy in that final. “Wah, wah, selection integrity!” No one stopped to consider as a possibility what eventually became known as the actual reason for his non-selection, that being he effectively refused to play and he let it be known to the club. You can bring a horse to water, etc.

Just because folks can’t think of a good reason for Tmac’s omission doesn’t mean there isn’t one.

200% this. Norf's backline is full of c-graders. They would take Lever in a heartbeat, pay his salary, and give us a first rounder. Would also give Jake a new lease-of-life I recon. We should have let JV go to Norf last year. Would have been good for Jack, Norf and us.

Great way of generating a 1st round pick.

Um No he's not!!

Pity Goody when looking into a mirror doesn't drop himself!

In my eyes as I see it every established player bar Kozzie, Disco, Gawn, McVee, Bowser, Windsor, Langford, Lindsay, Andy Moniz-Wakefield and any other promising player are on the table for a trade.

I agree. Goodwin will almost certainly be coaching next year so we are therefore compelled to give the bloke a group of players who are (first of all) going to be able to listen to simple instructions. And then act on those instructions

We need to be ultra aggressive as our current list contains too many players who aren't going to be part of our next premiership

Too many stale and unmotivated types with horrible disposal skills

Time to slash & burn

And if we go all-out at the trade table there's no reason why we can't bring in experienced players as well as young prospects via the draft

We might end up paying part salaries for departed players but we'll create space in the salary cap and create list spots

But I'm not sure the club realises that we are at crisis point

Another option is to sack* the coach and overhaul the list with a new coach or ... sack the coach and keep the same sort of list *with a new coach)

But keeping the coach and keeping the current list intact will mean we are treading water and effectively going backwards

*Sacking the coach right now is financially problematical. i.e. ... it's going to cost too much (in 2025)
