GAMEDAY: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide

Of course we take a grab inside 50 (off a bad kick) in the last 2 minutes.

Apparently you shouldn’t get beaten by what you already know - but we do, repeatedly, our own deficiencies as a team and as individual players. Only one person/role can be responsible for not addressing these consistent problems. Time to go Goody, thanks for everything.

End of the year?

Sack NOW! Seriously no way I'll renew my membership unless he goes

Why wasn’t that 50 to Max? The Port player just dropped the ball on the ground and ran off.

You know the answer. Hint - cos it's us.

He is a throw forward when needed type player.

I feel like it’s a big mental thing for him, like a lot of other players too .

We’ve seen flashes (Geelong last year stands out to me), and know how good his contested marking can be as a defender

Kossie is out of sorts. 2 touches in 2nd half. Must have been effected by that hit

Yep l ‘m seriously thing the same thing.

I think Trac looks in the mirror now and says I am part of the problem.

I look back now and think we might as well have traded Trac and Oliver when we had the chance. Absolute stinkers those two.

Petty lacks the intensity to be a reliable defender and he lacks the intelligence to be a forward. Trade.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
