The List Manager Tim Lamb

Both Lamby and Guerra have stated today that Tracca has asked for a frest start elsewhere. Only if it suits the MFC though.

And Lamby was 'disappointed' with Judds request to go home.

A good listen from Tim Lamb. If I was to guess listening to Lamb and filling in the blanks

Heath (developing ruck) and Mihocek (experienced key) a given to us as expected.

May interest sounded luke warm at best.

Trac will only go if he can meet what we want. We are in control here.

We are p!ssed over McVee and sounds like will push very hard including West Coast (no mention of Freo just WA).

Doubt we will try and get into this years first round. Maybe more so next (which fits being allegedly better and we do like to bring through in batches).

Sounds pretty much like McVee wasted our time for a good 18 months only to leave now his contract is up.

Dead to me.

I’m sure he will be saddened by your omission. 😂

this is the way i heard it too

the way that this draft is being talked down is pronounced - all the experts saying it's got no depth and is low quality at the pointy end too

i think it was morris who has said that the pear are only planning on drafting one player from it and instead using all other picks to elevate rookies

No Derksen mention, him arriving might be contingent on May leaving to free up cap space and open more room in the team.

If the choice was between Mihocek and Derksen I’m not sure who I’d choose.

Tim was delusional when he said the Club had done well in its player trading in the last few years.

Recent player trading has been woeful and taken the Club backwards big time.

Sounds more to me that Melbourne lied to him and wasted Judds time the last 18 months

How so? By amending his contract several times? King tell him he can play a more attacking role?

Give me a break.

Well Salem is a 30 year old with a suspect body, and Bowey can play in other spots.

We plucked this kid as a rookie during Covid. We gave him a lifeline. We made him a great player. He was asked to play a position that helped the team while we battled injuries, and he too battled injuries.

To say we wasted 18 months of his career is a joke. If he wanted to leave last year while contracted, we could have at least got a fair deal for him in a strong draft, but no, he chose for his contract to expire and then nominate a club, so we get screwed.

In a team sport, if you are having a sook about your role, and you are a 22 year old who has achieved very little, you need to reassess your ego.

Considering you have posted on here about nothing but McVee, and admitted you have a third hand connection to him, I understand your desire to defend him. But let's call a spade a spade here, he's leaving because he thinks the grass at Freo is greener.

Exactly and im just wondering if you've ever left a job for another, its business, when there's a chance to jump off a sinking ship you get off

Ah yes we are a sinking ship, and Freo is the poster child for success.

Wonder if Judd thought we were a sinking ship when we gave him his chance as a rookie, while Freo completely ignored him as he played under their nose.

Good luck to him, and I guess you too, going by the fact that you seem to be a Judd supporter and not a Melbourne supporter.

Don't upset the Eeyores. This is a great time for them.

Except he didn't say that, did he.

Typical of you, when there aren't genuine reasons to snipe at the club you fabricate them.

Teams play 3 attacking back flankers these days, but otherwise the answer is pretty simple, Salem's.

Can’t believe he kept a straight face when he said our young key forwards are super exciting

JVR's not a world beater but he is a decent young player. A good coach would be every chance to unlock Jeffo, there's no shortage of talent there. And Luker is more talented than both of them.

We're super reliant on our best half dozen or so running players and there's a huge drop off to the guys on our fringes and beyond. That's a bigger issue going forward than our talls even if they aren't world beaters.

3 talls,3 smalls, one small has to defend and it ain't Bowie(to small) or Salem(to slow)so it would be another year defending or change clubs

If one of our smalls needs to lock down, it should be Rivers. Awful decision maker with ball in hand, but is combative and athletic enough to go with most of the dangerous guys.

Bonus points for being solid in the air too.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
