Big Thanks to Ghostwriter, Kev Martin, Harvey Wallbanger, for braving the inclement weather conditions, great effort and all posters and special comments. Can’t believe that they still haven’t released the teams for tomorrow’s Big Game at 5:26 on Sunday night. What’s the big secret??? Go Dees.❤️💙👍😁

You’ll all be delighted to hear that they’re practicing goal kicking… with an oval ball, not a round one.

Whoa Max just nailed one from about 50 out.

Good to see both Jeffo and Roo here, as well as Culls.

Anyways, the boys are pumped for tomorrow, as are the coaches.

Goody says we go into every single match knowing we can win. He clearly doesn’t read Demonland.

Achieval rate is low ghostwrter.

Who knows they might do a thousand shots out at Casey....

for 50 goals, 700 behinds, 100 OBOF and 150 short???

I’d like to see Culley get 4 quarters with Sharp as the sub

JVR for AJ, he’s ahead of Jeffo because he can cover Max

Not so much this week, but in general, whose spot is he taking given that he is playing as a wingman at Casey?

Wish he did, could’ve used some of his precise kicking at half forward last week.

Yep his single figures possesion games are phenomally instrumental to productivity!

So, just a run-of-the-mill day for you then.

CULLEY and JEFFO should have played before Tholstrup and Howes, the later who makes too many errors IMO. Selection integrity is up the creek at Melbourne! Mc Donald same!

I think he’s a mid who replaces Viney. I was actually thinking they might give him a [censored] down role on one of 4 pies. I guess we’ll never know if that worked. In my universe he made life so tough for Josh Daicos that Josh tapped out with 6 possessions late in the third. Culley went on to kick 3 final quarter goals and we won by 42 points. I then took my winnings and went to dinner before heading home to watch it all again in my home theatre prior to flying off to Italy till after the bye.

Def something from another universe there Roost.

I have not seen him play any such roles or show any level of form to warrant that sort of optimism so far at Casey.

Probably because he's being played out of his usual positions (Eagles etc??) But with a few minor exceptions where he's contributed and shown something, he's looked mostly like a duck out of water on the wing.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

  • PREGAME: West Coast

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
