Training at Casey today. I’m not there but my buddy will send me notes soon enough. Apologies in advance @Roost it far but it may not be by the 4pm deadline.

A couple of things she told me in a phone call which I had to cut short, though…

The Bison in a red vest with the firsts.

Charles SpargiPants running laps, not training with the others.

Luker also running at pace and looking fitter and healthier than a week ago.

Judd ‘Knuckle’ McVee running well and looking very happy.

TC rucking well. Training hard.

Leb…

… that’s when I had to hang up. But I’m sure she’ll include him in her notes.

So the notes aren’t as detailed as they usually are and that’s because she ended up talking to Salo’s parents for quite some time. For those who don’t know, Mr and Mrs Salo are absolutely lovely people. They’re held in the highest esteem by the other players’ parents, so it’s no surprise that Salo is the locker room favourite.

Anyways…

-Leb jogging but limping.

44 8 4 - rehab
HL19  in red
Sharp in grey
In red…..
5 42 14 1 11 13 2 7 11 3 9 19 17 32 37 35 20 24 31

If this is any indication, Langford, Johnson and Billings will be in and Sharp will be one of the two (other than Jeffo) who is making way.

I heard that there was no tackling today at training. Goody instead instructed players we are playing touch rugby this weekend.

Goody the innovator, surfing the footy devolution wave. Touch footy is the future. Throwing the ball is already the new standard.

How about Training that the Forward line spreads and a lead is made into space?

Is it that hard to execute? Seriously

Thanks Ghostwriter and your DA buddy at Casey plus all posters, there are a number of players missing from the Red team including Sharp, Howes, Wowey Jnr and Disco. Could be a few surprises tonight.

Also, there are only 18 red players listed by GW above, so need to add another 5: Lever, Howes, Bill, Disco, Sharp?

That’s some good work. Notice how forgiving I am atm. Don’t get comfortable my good mood won’t last

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.

It's Game Day, and reinforcements are finally arriving for the Demons—but will it be too little, too late? "It's officially time for some alarm bells. I'm concerned about the lack of impact from their best players." This comment about one of the teams contesting this Friday night’s game came earlier in the week from a so-called expert radio commentator by the name of Kane Cornes. He wasn’t referring to the Melbourne Football Club but rather, this week’s home side, Geelong. The Cats are purring along with 1 win and 2 defeats and a percentage of 126.2 (courtesy of a big win at GMHBA Stadium in Round 1 vs Fremantle) which is one win more than Melbourne and double the percentage so I guess that, in the case of the Demons, its not just alarm bells, but distress signals. But don’t rely on me. Listen to Cornes who said this week about Melbourne:- “They can’t run. If you can’t run at speed and get out of the contest then you’re in trouble.
