Horrendous free kick to Will Day. Horrendous non free kick for Sicily pushing Hobbs in the face/neck. And surely McGrath has every right to handball it through.

What is going

From looking at the umpires view, mcgrath put himself under pressure when he slipped & his first thought was to just handball it.

If he hadn't have slipped he would have cleared it.

I don't agree with it but I can see why it was paid.

Essenthing are not strong enough

They are totally reactive

Spot on. They aren't creating things they are reacting to the Hawks.

Everything they do is rushed.
it’s also depressing how good the Hawks have become

Why is it so slippery?

I’m already getting pre-annoyed about us spending the entire game falling over 😂

Dons have out tackled, smashed the clearance count and even slightly few more frees.

But Hawks precision by foot and their run and carry and marking, make them look like finals contenders.

Is it just me or is there more Nuffy-Cam footage of supporters doing their blocks after missed free kicks than in previous years. I like it.

God.

Sounds like we’re all on notice

They accounted for Swans quite well last week so sadly they may be very good. I would not get carried away with the superlative great. It's Hawthorn. Yuck.

A lot of Stats mean nothing

Hawthorn should win this by over 10 goals

Hawks are doing a fair bit of sniping.

Back to the unsociable style that the Coach loves.

It's been a face paced game with big momentum swings so technically Dons are still a chance. But a few quick unanswered in the first five will probably seal it if it's not already.

My brother in law will.be insufferable.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
