Kayo digital membership

And it will go up again next year with kayo premium going up to $46/month this week.

I think you will find the 2026 digital membership price with Kayo Premium at $375 for 12 months is fixed for 2026.

In the second pic I posted, in brackets it says $552 RRP.

$552 / 12 =$46.00 per month.

Unless of course you are talking about the 2027 prices lol which I am sure will also go up!

Yep was talking abut 2027, current membership packs went on sale Nov (Oct?) 2025 so not sure they had locked in the price rise by then.

I'm not going to be getting the 12 month Kayo this year, enough is enough.

They just offered me a $1 for this month deal which I took and if they offer other deals throughout the year I'll take them but this is just extortion and they can suck it.

Other than F1 Kayo don't have a top line exclusive sport. If you were a Collingwood or West Coast supporter with most of your games available on FTA would you continue to pay. You really have to wonder about its viability longer term

Not to worry you OD but a ban on password sharing is almost a certainty in the next two years.

Then they will offer a version with ads and another more expensive version relatively ad free.

Kayo simply cannot make a profit in Australia given the cost of rights that the AFL and NRL have become used to. In years to come we will look upon Uncle Rupert as a great benefactor by comparison.

boom boom - looks like the crackdown has arrived; this was thru apple tv

That's bad because usually AppleTV is the best way to avoid this detection as apple don't send data back to providers. It's the best way to beat Netflix password sharing restrictions.

hit the dismiss button and it went away

but clearly a crackdown on password sharing is coming

I've been reading recently about these messages. Seems they are sending warnings but doing nothing. Needless to say that will change. Hopefully they go the Netflix route and allow the secondary user at a substantial discount.

PS: Targeted advertising a la Google is the new buzzword for streamers. Not sure how they will get the info. I hate the invasiveness of Google. Search a product and bingo it's in your youtube feed for weeks.

Like I said AppleTV is usually good at this, I never get asked to verify the household for Netflix using AppleTV but do every time via the native app on Android TV's. You might have to select "ask app not to track" or something, usually it gives you that option so if you select "yes" it will know what you've watched if you login on another device.

Melbourne play at the MCG at least every second week. The Friday night game is on channel 7.

Go to the footy to watch the Dees and watch the Friday night game where the Bulldogs seem to have a lot of games and Darcy is going to be the best player in the league until his younger brother get’s drafted.

You can also watch Collingwood and hope someone runs through Maynard, which Darcy has done.

Can you buy an MFC digital membership if you are already a "normal" member.

I could of course buy one for another club or the Storm but may as well give the MFC a few dollars if I decide to go down that route

yes, you also get a 40% off voucher to use at the Demon Shop (valid for one transaction)

Thanks R11

One more question : does the pass run for 12 months from purchase or until the start of the 2027 season

runs 12 months from whenever you activate/redeem the code.

But must be redeemed by Nov 2026 (unless anyone was thinking of banking some for the next couple of years 😂)

First day of AFL season 2026 and I receive this email from HUBBL

The password on your account has been reset due to suspected account sharing activity, which violates our terms.

Wonder if anyone else got similar.

Yep I got that this morning.

Rumours they’re unhappy with how much they’re spending vs how much revenue they’re getting

Was reported sporadically from a month ago but in the last 24 hours it's rife.

What is unknown is the next step after you reset and keep sharing.

At the very least they could do the Netflix thing and allow sharing with one or two others at a significantly discounted price.

It can be avoided but it needs help from an IT aware person. It involves creating a tunnel between your router and that of your sharer. Not hard but beyond my ken.

I share KAYO with another person, this might have to end. But also I log in at work and also at home. Wonder if that will upset the password sharing system.

good question. You'd have to hope they are only doing it where they detected use by 2 IP addresses at or near the same time. (Don't drive home from work too fast.)

I live in NSW and use Kayo at home. I'll be in interstate for some rounds this year, including round 1. I'll be [censored] off if I have to jump through hoops to use Kayo.

I got that too, "reset" my password to the same password and wasn't prompted to login again on the app 🤷‍♂️

I don't share mine either so not sure why I got it, perhaps they just sent to everyone before the season starts.

it will, cos it's a different ip i would imagine

nevertheless, there's nothing that they're ACTUALLY doing about it at the moment; hit the 'dismiss' button and it goes away

I think so I'm afraid. It would all be based on IP addresses making this the '3rd user'.

I'm not doing the Kayo main subscription thing this year. Only if they offer the $1 for a month or half price 6 month deals again I'll take them up.

They can't just rely on differing ip's. I believe they can vary even for a single user at the same physcal location depending on your ISP.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
