This is the most bogan commentary team I've ever heard.

They should be in a tri coloured Commodore commentary car on the hill.

One of the women just said that "hawthorn play some of the funest footy she's seen"

Feel like we are one down in the midfield without Hore. Would love to see them throw Goldie back in there.

The good:

Hanks, Gall, Goldy, Blaithin, McNamara

The Bad, Hawks in space and bursting from stoppage while we look slow

The ugly: Kelly Underwood hasn’t called a single MFC player correctly. Chaplin was Goldy twice, Hanks was McNamara. FCS. It’s your one job as a commentator! Know the players names and numbers!

How can someone stripping the ball out of Hanks hands be an incorrect disposal free kick?

Anyways, mids going ok but our forwards and backs seem to be walking around the packs a little too much.

Gone back to over handballing again. Kick the thing, that is what won us the past couple of games.

STOP OVERHANDBALLING

STOP OVERHANDBALLING

We win by getting territory and winning the next contest

Stop going back to what lost us games !!!

rubbish free against zanker

Edited by BDA

We have been unlucky so far. Bounce of the ball, few umpiring calls, hawks miskicks falling in their lap etc. But got to keep it close here while hawks feel like they are on top.

Yep and even their dump miss kicks are landing in hawks arms

Just added that. I don’t feel like we are out of this at all but they do have the momentum

Every stoppage seems too open. Seems to really suit Hawthorn. Bring up an extra and congest/outnumber and I think we will get much more ball forward.

we're lucky to be only 13 points down

Hawks have more run and moving the ball better. they are better around the ball as well

going to be an uphill battle in the second half. not sure what we can chnage here.

Geez we miss Kate Hore. With Beasley out as well we just don’t have the midfield rotations. Also Fitzy seems to be running with Bates who is just torching her with her gut running.
That said the call against Zanker in the marking contest was total rubbish. Perfect bodywork in the side, no different to McDonough’s work at the other end. Good to see free kick Hawthorn transcends gender.🙄
Cmon girls! Find a way!

Such a shame to lose Hore and Chaplin pregame as we just need that extra little bit of depth in this game. We will need to make it a grind and be more efficient in F50 to take the win from here. They will kill us if the r game remains this open.

Also, geez Jas Fleming is quality. Not quite the level of my fave Hanks but very very good.

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
