One more thing about Judd coming to Melbourne - if by some miracle CAC and co pull it off we'll have to make substantial room in the salary cap to pay him. That means one of three things will have to happen:

1. Delist players who are out of contract

2. Current players take a pay cut to afford him

3. We trade one or more of our high paid players to make room

2 is unlikely, we'd probably have to delist 4 or 5 to make up Judd's income so 3 is the most logical move. Players that would be an option would have to be our most highly paid guys eg Neitz, White, Bruce, Yze, Green

I could be wrong but I think only half of Neitz and Yze's money counts as they are or will be veteran's next year. Bizzell and Pickett in particular would be looking at substantial paycuts next year if they stay as both are out of contract at the end of this year. Replacing a couple of experienced players (ie. Ward) with a kid also saves a fair bit. Would be very surprised if we found it that difficult to find room in the cap.

I think its a maximum of 2 and they have to be 30+ and played with the club for at least 10 years.
