Iโ€™m not having a go or disagreeing but I had to laugh at the list of things heโ€™s not great at in your post.

No 2nd efforts as he isnโ€™t fit enough. Needs a new voice/coach. Lacks size. Poor set shot. Not a threat in the air.

yes, but you should see his sectionals

This raises an interesting situation at the MFC. We have no coach yet we seem to be making decisions on who comes and goes.

A salient observation old dee with the leadership structure in โ€˜disarray.โ€™ Small committees or โ€˜sovietsโ€™ have popped up across the barricades. Generating electronic leaflets and virtual posters amidst the ideas feast. Many will simply fall to Earth, some more worthy will take flight.

Did Adams have a poor game though?

He had 5 possessions and at least 1 of those was kicking out from full back. First job of a footballer is to get the ball.

Or if you are a full back, stop your opponent from getting it.

Exactly.

Defence first, attack second. Adams job may have been along the lines of, "we dont care if you dont get a kick all day, just stop your opponent "

Probably exactly what he was told.

the Giants are a pain. didnโ€™t deal with us last even though they hey knew they wouldnโ€™t play him

they could have gotten a pick last. hopefully nothing this time

is he OOC?

Yep OOC.

Historically we've managed to deal with GWS fairly amicably, I think they put the foot down with Derkson because they got picked off in the free agency market and their depth took a hit.

Given heโ€™s ooc, can we get him as a delisted free agent?

If they choose to delist him yes.

But to get him through our doors quicker, probably best we'll offer a future 4th rounder.

I would imagine our primary interest in Wade is as a forward , yes it is a a bonus he can play defence. We also have Kentfield who can play both ends. Our reserve side played extremely well without Jefferson. In hindsight I believe that Jefferson will unfortunately be traded.

Why would our primary interest in Derksen be to play him forward?

Dar perhaps the fact we were chasing Wade as a forward last year is we don't have any tall forwards. This has been a problem for years.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
