We are a putrid football team. I hate watching us play at the moment.

Commentators give us absolutely nothing. Nothing.

We've gone from flag favourite in round 7 to bottom 6 and 4 losses on the trot. We've kicked 2 behinds in 20 minutes. What do you want from them?

Can't really win watching this one. Nothing to play for, no kids playing other than Tholstrup, senior players have really given up.

At least when you're rebuilding you can watch to see 'good signs', but this is just meaningless.

We are a shell of a football team at the moment. Truly pathetic by foot, zero composure. I’m sorry but Goodwin looks to have lost them. At the moment, we are looking like the bad Melbourne of old.

To be fair, both teams are looking terrible so far, but GCS look like they could explode at any moment

To be fair, we’re giving nothing positive for the commentators to talk about us.

But what do you expect? Dermie is pointing out that Petty can't get near it... everything is static coming out of defence....

Can’t question the effort at the moment.
Our skills are killing us.

I'm in Canberra and decided not to watch it today. Following the game on 'Land only. Sounds hectic. Grant Hill Sport GIF by SHOWTIME Sports

Great kick by Billings. Turner looks by far the most likely forward.

I'm surprised you can understand anything Dermie says @Deefensive Language.

Boy you guys are a pack of sad sacks. Effort is there,

Poor Jack. What a warrior.

Disco gonna be a good player.

Disco 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Good god, Brereton is the biggest [censored] commentator behind BT

Viney in the midfield has turned the momentum.

Ok with all the negativity around Id just like to say Van Rooyen and Turner are really starting to impress.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
