Neocleous marks a nice pass from BBB and goals.

Surely that’s one of the best surnames going around.

Just now, whatwhat say what said:

woey 2.0 is a poor kick of the football

There is a few others there as well.

we need tholstrup and sestan to get bigger engines cos they have got the skills we want in the midfield in our senior side

Definitely why they were drafted.

Sestan has beautiful skills. Exactly the fwd/mid we need playing AFL.

HT Casey Demons 8.8.56 lead Collingwood VFL 4.1.25

Goals McAdam 2 Kentfield Neocleous Peters Sestan Tholstrup K. Windsor

Disposals White 17 Tholstrup 14 Fullarton Tomlinson 11 Sestan Steele 10

Great to see a high scoring quarter - how's our game style today?

Half time update

Tholstrup: Clearly BOG, getting into the right spots, very physical, conversion has been dissapointing though. Should have 3 goals instead of 1. Has to come in next week

Adams: Not sighted, however the ball has been on the other side of the ground most of the time

Kentfield: Nice and physical,  however tank seems to be lacking, therefore has barely touched it. Would love to see him in the ruck. Ready made body for AFL and kicked a nice snapping goal

Jefferson: Unsighted, really needs to try and work his way up the ground and hit the gym a bit more, reminds me a bit of an 18 year old Jack Watts in terms of body shape

Woewodin: haven't seen much of him but he's getting to the right spots, just needs to clean up his disposal

Verrall: Missed an easy shot on goal at half time, think he needs to improve his tank

Brown: Played really well when he was in the ruck and covered the ground nicely, however barely seen him touch it when in the fwd line

Sestan: Looking really good, playing in the midfield today, has nice clean disposal and kicked a nice goal. He is definetly not far off an AFL debut

Tomlinson: Dominating his opponent, but disposal needs to be tidied up

Fullarton: Needs to hit the gym more, but I'm liking his effort in the ruck, getting lots of clearances

Moniz Wakefield: Playing well in the back line, but would prefer to see him in mid/fwd

Mcadam: Kicked two nice goals and took a screamer, but doesn't work hard enough. If the ball is not near him he will barely get out of a jog, clearly not match fit and needs to provide more defensively

A few cameos from McAdam but not much to get excited by system wise.

Better connection than the last few weeks. Looking for more from Woey and AMW in the run and carry area. Perhaps too quick to give off the handpass.

Final entry inside 50 is mainly high kicks to the pack

That sounds familiar.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
