CASEY: Rd 10 vs Coburg

Where's the defensive sweeper at stoppage there?

Sestan moved off the ball far too easily there for a player of his size

Great potential but at the moment there's not enough urgency, physicality and manic attack for mine at times.

If he brings this more often he could be a beauty.

Casey chain of handballs. Sloppy turnover Lions goal x2

Casey skill errors costly.

Yes that's three times they've picked out the opponent with an unforced error.  Very costly and makes it too easy for the oppo

You’re not wrong, missing your teammate 5 metres away with a handball under no pressure is inexcusable.

Jeffo another. 23–14 Casey

Wow that's a fortunate free to Jeffo for his second on the goal line

Young Demons going well Laurie, Verral and Kolt.

White has comtinued on from last week with some excellent work to give an assist goal to Moodie

Is the dog near the cameraman Coburg oval’s version of the Adelaide woo hoo man?

Can someone please take the dog for a long walk 🙄

Fullo looks to be running in concrete boots.  Will be interesting to see if he plays the whole game out

Casey looking a class above all over the ground, but boy, their forward entries and ball sharing has been sloppy. Laurie, Kolstrup and Jefferson looking good. And I have to wonder about Mitch White. Is he one of those poor sods who is brilliant at VFL level but wasn't able to transfer it to AFL? Because he looks like one of those players who should have made it. Great reader of the play and hits targets off half back.

Good quarter from Verral.  Some nice hit outs, a few inside 50s and other involvements.

Suburban footy at its best. Somebody’s terrier providing sound effects into the microphone.

Laurie too good at this level. Just needs to make the transition with confidence. Best game for Adams in some time. White is a star. At 28 he deserves a rookie spot. Fullarton is not a ruckman. Jefferson getting into good spots. AMW has potential but too many cheap possessions.  Verell developing well.  Our policy of umpteen emergencies is absurd unless they know spmething we don't. Halting the development of our young blokes. Kolt just doing enough.

Young Pup has shaved his locks looks a ringer for Dad Doggie.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
