This is all about being hunted. Pies got a lot of close wins last year where teams didn’t always come with their A game.

the fact we went 10-0 after the flag shows you how good we were.

some of saints kicking out of defence is kamikaze. got away with one earlier but no let off here.

really poor. lyon will be going nuts. gifts a goal to the pies which they badly needed it.

Really poor judgement by the Saints player!

Commentators acknowledged Filth fans clapping Mason Wood off the ground. But said NOTHING about those selfsame filthy thugs when they did the chant while Gus lay motionless, booed him off the ground then cheered for Maynard for the remainder of the match. 🤮

Lovely typical Pies supporter hanging over the fence

Really live up to their rep.

Saints cannot keep it in their F50 for more than 10 seconds. Just comes straight back out

saints i50 delivery is terrible

They get to half forward and then look like they don’t know what they’re supposed to be doing

On paper, do St Kilda have the worst midfield group?

Possibly they do have a very good ruckman though.

They are getting so sucked into going at every opportunity. They’ve been their own worst enemy the last 10 minutes.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?
