Jefferson the saviour? I doubt it.

Saviour? I just want to see him (and the other players listed) take the field after having an interrupted pre-season.

AND MORE OF THE SAME BOMBING INTO THE FORWARD LINE FFS !!🤮

Do I think they’ll play with as little pressure as they are today come Opening Round? No

Are there still concerning signs about our disposal and decision making (which have been an issue for years now)? Yes

A bit of a pattern. I suppose you could blame it on our attempt to play fast football. Fastball is not our traditional strength

Correct.

I don't mind it though. We know we can play lockdown footy, it's the offensive exercution that kills us. Good to get some in game experience in.

I’m so worried about it that I no longer am.

Wait until next week, do you really want players to put there body's on the line for a scratch match, and get injured

You want to see something that shows we will be a better side, the key areas that we needed to improve was skill execution and forward line efficiency.  We have seen none of that

The commentators have mentioned it a few times but the one positive from today seems to be Viney's inside 50s

Something needs to change. Just don't know what.

Melbourne: 10.7 (67) to Richmond 12.6 (78)

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.
