Goodwin, was voted down at selection committee to  not include Sache.

Out of spite we went into a final one man down.

Massive coaching problems still need to be healed.

Not happening any time soon.

The latest in ‘Things that didn’t happen’…

Honestly, there is plenty evidence that we need to evolve - no one needs to make up [censored] like that.

So did Hames’ most memorable ever kick, across the corridor I guess, breach team rules?  🤗

Only if it didn't work

After the trade and draft period, I’d almost forgotten about the acquisition of McQualter.

Will be interesting to see how it all unfolds over preseason and how much of a role he has.

Has the potential be our most influential recruit in years

Fly on the wall, were you?

Really looking forward to an interview with Andrew McQualter, was he at training today?? It will be interesting to see MFC start rolling out a series of positive stories so we can get to know all the Newbies 1st hand.

DL could send WCW to “interview” the newbies for an exclusive.
(although probably not the smartest idea I’ve had).

Not the worst either NC it would be good to see how they handle some direct interrogation tactics in front of the camera.

Not a lot spoken about in the media or on this site about this guy.

Was genuinely impressive when he took over from Hardwick and I'm personally excited for a new voice in to the coaching group and a slightly better style of play.

Really excited to see what he bring sro the table for 2024.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
