I am still filthy at the Oliver HTB decision that cost us a goal last week, when I see 20+ in this game and about 15 of them by Carlton.

Umpires are in love with Carlton.

Ellis and Casboult helping Carlton with their utter incompetence

Sorry if already mentioned (feeding the hungry masses at the W praccy match at Casey. We’re giving the Hawks a warm welcome to the league 😁). Haven't been able to read this thread, but SHAME on North fans! Jack Ziebell’s farewell game and lucky to be one or two thousand fans there. Disgraceful!

OOOO AHHH Not allowed say that...😄

Only because it is true. It is sports entertainment these days and viewer numbers are king.

Hilarious from Chol there

Rowell trying to thread the needle to a 1 v 1 lol.  Turnover.

As good as he is at getting possession some of his decision making is horrid.

Casboult copping a cattle prod today

Gold Coast onballers and half backs going hard at it, tackling pressure etc... only for absolute stupidity from Chol, Casboult, Ellis and Lukosius with dud skills and decision making. To balance things out, the Blues mids and half backs also doing all the hard work, but their forwards have been taking goal kicking tips from Star Wars storm troopers.

It’s hard to believe GC are in front. They have been horrible this quarter.

They’ve done well to defend and keep the margin tight. But their ball use is legitimately trash.

Imagine if Carlton got beaten by a contentious ARC non decision?

🤞

They would just get their over priced lawyers onto it. Be over-ruled by Wednesday at the latest.

A lot of soft efforts from GC in that quarter also.

Suns showing a bit of ticker again. Hopefully they can actually take this one out.

I like the Sun's endeavour and attempt to take the game on but they over use the HB a little too often for mine when a quick kick down the line might be the better option

Casboult's first mark!??

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
