So we got Fritsch AND the share of Grundy's salary not being covered by Collingwood Quote

That must be good. And Luke Jackson evokes the same sentiments. Both players who gave Dees fans moments of hope and joy. And it's really about the journey as a supporter isn't it, rather than the destination? The magic of 2021 was, for me, so much better because of the long, relentless path to get there. 1 Quote

We beat them again later that season and then beat them Queen's Bday 2017. We also beat them at the Gabba in 2020 but yes, we definitely owe them a few. 1 1 Quote

How sweet would it would be to be able to have 7-1 bragging rights after beating them in a GF? I can dream right 😈 1 Quote

The key to good clubs now though is to create an environment where all personalities can thrive. The message that comes across frequently when our players talk about our culture now is one that does that. Different personalities are not just tolerated, they are embraced and celebrated. I have no doubt in the world Watts would have been a star right now if he was drafted by us say 3 or 4 years ago. He also wouldn't have been rushed in and marketed as the saviour while still finishing VCE. He would've been brought through Casey and given the proper preparation before throwing him to the wolves. I think all that contributed to his attitude. 3 Quote

Little Goffy 14,963 Posted March 25, 2023 Posted March 25, 2023 I think it is kind of funny that for all the glory of picking Fritsch so late in the draft, we actually took Spargo a few picks before him. Personally, I think Spargo is on the cusp of a breakout, and the more he shows the more he will be used. He is so effective that if his numbers pushed up to even the high teens instead of the current 12ish disposals per game, he becomes a serious menance. He's already getting a goal or goal assist with almost every third disposal! We may even see our whole game style shift if the Pickett-Spargo-Chandler small forward mix comes together the way I suspect it will. 2 Quote
