A great night. I only wished I’d set up a camera taping myself watching the game. The highs of the first quarter, followed by the next 1.5 quarters getting further and further gloomy……………………and then 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

On this day last year I was picnicking in the Yarra Park sun in the lawn at the MCG. Looking forward to trade period so I can stop drawing comparisons.

Only time to cry from happiness other than birth of my children. It felt like the tears released the years of torment and anguish and brought so much joy, such a unique feeling.

I could think back to the times growing up during school, workplaces, etc where I'm the only Dees supporter and copped it and thinking my children going for the mighty Dees won't be considered a form of child abuse these days 😁.

It was a surreal moment, from the very start, season 2021 felt like things just went our way or was meant to be. The next day, we went to a park and I really appreciated complete strangers approaching us, even Bulldogs fans and saying how happy they were for Melbourne fans.

It definitely feels like a tremendous weight has been lifted since becoming premiers. Sure going out in straight sets was frustrating, but the warmth and pride of winning it in 2021 definitely helped lessen the blow.

Ill forever be content knowing I lived to see a Melbourne premiership.

What a night it was. Watched until the broadcast ended and was still too amped to sleep.

Prelim got a viewing last night. Geelong were not much different in playing style to this year, we were just so much better. Bring on next year.

I think of this quite a bit. I had a Ipad camera running for the celebration part but wish the previous 3 hrs was on there too.

All my anger from watching the Footy has disappeared this year having seen what I thought was never going to happen in my lifetime. A Premiership Poster to smile at every morning i wake up. But I can't help but have tears appear every time I watch a Grand Final moment, an interview, a documentary, any type of footage that reminds me of that glorious moment of Our Grand Final Victory.

Exactly watched the incomparable 2021 Granny triumph on Sunday night and only 2 players different vs Lions in defeat on the Semi. Too many lucky to be selected really on form and fitness.!

One error was that  Bowey should have been selected and Tmac was only nearly ready for return. But too many underwhelming mainly role players played that night and did not get us across the line. Many had relatively poor seasons compared to 2021 and were not dropped and challenged to find form when our selection position snd Casey's form provided an opportunity.

Lessons to be learnt by the Club.

Fully in agreement. Seemed like Players were being picked hoping they'd come good as us supporters thought they might but being rewarded due to your form at Casey should be an incentive too. TMac i thought was a big loss, we need more Leading in the forward line as its the easiest avenue to goal.

I was impressed by Kate Roffe speech at the B&F, I love the idea of the Premiership Ring for all premiership players and the Life Membership and making it retrospective for all of our existing legends. Kate is so inclusive for everyone involved in club including members and supporters. Nice touch to mention LJ wishing him all the best but also welcoming him back if the Freo thing doesn’t work out.❤️💙

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
