Goody's lack of hindsight/changes after losses to the Swans and Freo at the MCG. Supporters and Oliver would rather win a premiership than a player winning a Brownlow medal . Winning a reserves GF is like comparing a 7 division lotto win to a 1st division win. Jackson who wasn't going re-sign should have not been allowed to play finals , however he could walk (?)

What part of Demonland’s post (above) do you not understand????

BTW, come to Princes Park this Sunday and tell the players and their families and the fans your thoughts on winning a VFL premiership. But then that’d mean no computer screen to hide behind like a coward, so I guess you won’t be there.

Anyways… back to positives from 2022-

Not winning the flag this year means the pressure that was put on us at the beginning of this season won’t be a thing at the beginning of season 2023. Of course there’ll be pressure, there always is, but it won’t be that level of pressure a team is subjected to having just won a premiership.

Our drafting position now with LJ leaving is a positive.

His finals record ?   5 games, 20 kicks total, 1 goal total.

Sure he has upside but we can protect max's longevity in other ways.

LJ is no Trac or Oliver - gun finals performares - on this record. Only deserves their money on potential, not record - cue 2022 season.

We'll be good.  And I wish him the very best. he needs to be back in WA for many reasons.

Mad Monday has (I presume) been and gone with no dramas or media reports, unlike the Bulldogs/Cordy shocker.

edit:  Unless they're holding off until after the VFL Grand Final?

Another positive from season 2022:

My precious little bantams, Febes 1 and Febes 2 were sweating bullets up until Friday night as they knew should we go all the way, they’d go from this…

I could have found the dosh if I needed.

Wasn't - just highlighting keys and potentail impact c.f. our talismans in Oliver, Viney etc,

30 handballs over 5 finals, with 90% coming when the team was flying in 2021. Bugger all this year when we needed it when Max was clearly injured.

H/O didn't count unless to advantage.

My point stands. Potential still at this stage, and I hope he achieves what he is looking for and we get another look at refreshing team now.

Interesting comparison was the Chris Judd decision to leave Eagles straight after a flag.  Two way traffic and human nature really.

You don't think Jacko was not the same after his calf injury 2/3 way  Through the season?  And played with injury like about 6 or 8 players.
You are taking it all out on him after our result in the Finsls

Some other players  we're not near their best of 2021. Viz ANB Spargo Rivers Salem Sparrow Bowey ( should have played in Finsls) Harmes Lever.etc.

It was our fault that we played injured players and who couldn't play out the game. Goody also was too loyal to some.

Need to find 5/6 new players for 2023 in draft trade and are at Casey already.

AGree with all you say, except the 'taking it all out on him' rubbish. The season outtcome has many reasons.

Just highlighting most recent performances reflected his year. Sore calf doesn't stop you dropping marks. He helped win a falg but I'm over the messiah issue. He's not Oliver or Trac in regard to team impact.

No he's a 3rd year prodigy like Trac was in his 3rd year counting his first injury prone year in the counting of his first 3 years.

Potential evident but uses it sparingly at 20 years of age!!

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE
