NON-MFC: Round 23, 2022

Only early but your playing for the chance of a home final and double chance and this is how you start.

Hopefully the Giants get up. Blues beat pies and lions stay 4

the Lions usually give the Cats a good game and they will be fired up

The Cat have won only one of their last eight first up finals. Also only 3 of their last 12 after a weeks rest.

They don't look switched on Freo but some good goals from the Giants. A reminder that they have really underperformed this year.

That was not a definite touch.  Fingers didn’t move.

They really come up with some grade A BS sometimes.

Bog ordinary 5 games of footy today. Must be the worst collection of games in a long while .

Crowd attendance figures could get ugly .

Carl v Coll will save the round.Interstate sides are mostly a flop.

A multi million (billion?) dollar operation and footage that looks like it was shot with my old Nokia

Cliffhanger at Manuka…some goal by Hopper.

That was a home ground goal knowing the unique conditions if ever there was.

Haha.

Any good Nokia phones on the market at the moment? Last one I remember was that Windows one!

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
