Both BBB and Tmac have contracts for next year and I don't see anyone taking them.

They both have contracts but I strongly believe at least one of them will retire.

Damian Barrett( I know I know) on the radio just now, very adamant the Grundy is gone this trade window. Sounded more like he has info that’s the case other than just speculating.

I understand he had a coffee with Simon Goodwin and was told in confidence that the club was definitely in discussions with Port Power and Grundy was out the door.

What makes you believe that?

Injuries, I doubt whether Brown will be able to continue on and it may be the case for Tmac as well. No shame in retiring whilst under contract , plenty have done it.

Some of the commentary on here is laughable. Max still has 3 years in him, so saying Grundy will be his successor at age 32 is ridiculous.

The media are just stating the obvious. Getting Grundy didn't make sense, and it's been proven correct. Max has been BOG in consecutive weeks without Grundy in the side. Max is the superior ruckman, and neither is a forward. The Gawndy experiment is over.

Grundy with 4 years on his contract needs to be traded.

Yeah I know , but both must know physically that their time is up and can retire if they wish to protect their bodies long term with memories of a Premiership in their kit bags, not playing out the season in the two's

No one in this world would have a coffee with Barrett

I agree in terms of injuries. Tmac's foot seems absolutely cooked and Browns knee is repetitively troublesome.
I just don't see either retiring by their own choice and leaving contracted money on the table.
I would happily be wrong.

Has happened many times, come to an agreement in payout figures

Max has 3 years left if he doesn't have to ruck full-time. The reason he played so well solo is because Grundy enabled him to have less load, but he can't sustain this.

Max was behind recruiting Grundy and remains so. What's laughable is that people can't understand this.

On what planet do Port get this deal done? They have ZERO draft leverage and Grundy is contracted.
Delusional.

Max has been the premier ruckman in the comp for the past 6 years as the primary ruckman. All of a sudden Grundy lessening Max's load is the reason he has returned to being the premier ruckman. Give me a spell.

Did you pay any attention at all to Max's condition last year?

Did you pay any attention to Max driving Brodie's recruitment?

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
