Anticipation level on a scale of 1- 10

I posed this question prior to the first round and most respondees were bursting with anticipation. Has the excitement level subsided after the disappointments of the first 2 rounds , or are you still up there ?

On a scale of 1 - 10 , I was on 5 prior to the first round ; I am now on a 3.

Negative 7.

May rise to 3 if Daniher decides to debut some kids this week.

Edit: after seeing the side that will line up on Sunday, negative 157

Didn't we lose the first 2 or 3 last year? To the Carlton twice last year?

Didn't we lose to Hawthorn last year?

I'm looking forward to:

- Seeing the inclusions and hope ND doesn't stay too predictable

- Seeing ND's forward-line structure

- Colin's return (fingers-crossed)

- Moloney/Whelan polaxing N.Ablett

- Watching Hawkins and Selwood play footy, in the flesh, on the MCG

- The Dees registering their first win of '07.

Anticipation for me is higher than it was last week. We may get to see the future of the forward line for the first time.

If we select Biz and Holland as our forwards, then it's a zero.

10...

oh hang on ..anticipation..... thought it was ANXIETY !!

make that "0"

1. The NHL playoffs started today and the NBA's are not far away. These ought to help me take my mind off the hellpit that is season 2007.

Well Bolton play arsenal this weekend so im sure ill be caring a bit more about that until kick off time then ill be dreading the outcome of the game at the G

i reckon there is a 80% chance we will be 5-0 in 3 weeks time if not 8-0

To be honest I love these sort of "back-to-the-wall games", when nobody gives us a shot in hell of winning. It makes these kind of wins so much sweeter.

im .5. I dont really care about this year anymore

Agreed. After seeing the team, not looking forward to this one...

Lets hope we come out and pull some sort of miracle win with such a poorly rounded team on the field. Will make it oh so sweet!

It was a 9 before the saints game. It's about 2 now. Only because we started 0-3 last year and still did ok. if not for that to look back on, i'd be negetive 100

Still early in the season & so many more dramas to unfold before round 22. Best that it all goes to [censored] early in the season I say than later. I'm still excited.

( just taking the mick )

coz it works well to build upon the foundation of sh!t !! :-))

was 9.25 before the saints game, and even though it only early in the season, my anticpation level is 4 and if we lose it will be nearlly 0-- 0.98

So my advice to the team is please lift and win

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
