I haven't done the research, why bother, but I'd bet most teams have a particular player, (or two), who's happy to regularly milk a free kick if the situation presents. New AFL rule in the off-season - only one rubber ducker allowed per team.

I'm surprised and quite pleased to see the number of people who agree he does it, and those who say they'd prefer it if he didn't.

We have collectively lost our [censored] at Selwood, Shuey and Mathieson in years gone by, so it would be hypocritical to say Spargo doing it is fine.

It's as much "not a good look" as Viney's incident with Collins was, and I'd prefer he stop doing it.

Of course if he ducked and got a free 20 metres out in the GF with us trailing by 2 points with 10 seconds to play no one is going  to complain. Self interest always trumps ethics.

Pickett is guilty of the same thing too. Constantly playing for free kicks

My footy club, right or wrong.

He's toned it down in recent weeks I reckon

He does do it but in all fairness as a smaller player one doesn't have to do that much to be given high contact frees.

Joel Selwood is roughly 10cm taller and mathieson is about 15cm taller than spargs.

Yes he accentuates contact for the sake of the umpires, however;

the law of averages would suggest that someone that small is naturally going to get taken high more frequently than people who are taller than him, and also considering he is often times being tackled by key defenders who are up to around 20cm taller than spargs on average.

leave him alone - other sides have been doing it to us for years.

Anything that gets Charlie a kick is fine by me! Played a very smart game for most of last week!😎

K Bartlett's  tactics of winning Premierships. Long..same.

Try not paying free kick and see what happens.

Love Charlie’s work this year. IMHO he’s become a ducking good player!
