Toby G is the sort of player in the old days someone would take out so as to win the game.

I’d find it very difficult not to belt papley

Not exactly great compliance in the mask wearing department by the crowd last night assuming they were required.

I especially liked how they would pull their mask down to scream at the ump. Making sure to spray the spit as far as possible

😂

Swans without Kennedy, Mills and Blakey are definitely getable. Three big outs

Watching Buddy play Is the best thing outside MFC. Future legend.

I much prefer this GWS outfit than the Swans, but I think Melbourne match up better on the Swans, so c'mon Swannies.

Mummy is playing like a man on crack!!! Oh wait…

That kick and goal by Taranto is something not many of our players have. Penetration in our snap kicks. They always either go straight in the air or fall well short.

Disagree @Demonland-

Plenty of evidence on the contrary from Oliver To Viney to Pickett to ANB to Tmac -

but Melbourne of 2001-2019 - yup.

He is a tough, courageous player. If they don't damage him, he will play better with that bit of physical motivation. One of those players that are best left alone, unless it is to suck him into a stupid act.

May will destroy him

I think May can handle him as well but that's 2 goals he's kicked already today on a very good defender in Sam Taylor. He's still a very dangerous opponent

Cracking game so far.

Love them or hate them, Greene and Papley are great to watch when they're 'on'.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
