Fantastic news. a heart and soul player. Has found a spot up forward which plays to her strenghts and footy smarts. Hoping she can win a flag before she retires

Great news. It's been the sort of career you want to go on forever!

She's not unfamiliar with a flag or three, and she's evidently got an assured and interesting career ahead of her, so I imagine a motivation to go on is to be part of a flag that her teammates get.

And we are front runners to get Taylor Harris - back where she belongs!!

You’re a long time retired. Hopefully the girls lift for her next year and deliver a flag. Would add cement to her legend status.

Given the nature of AFLW at the moment and the last start for many, I can see players playing well beyond what happens in the male comp. Its not as wearing on the body as the impacts are not as hard (At the moment) and its a much shorter season.   I guess most is time off work and getting through the expectations of a club including the preseason.

Tom bring a bit enthusiastic with a scoop. the Old Tom !!!

if Daisy plays on it will be a "win it for Daisy "" campaign"

How big will that be for the team !

it's our turn to salute in the AFLW esp if our male heroes triumph.

Go Dees

I read on another post that Carlton is the only team to win wooden spoons in both the aflw and the men's in the same year.

We might do the opposite this year because of people like Daisy.

I'm calling Daisy Pearce medal for the AFLW grand final best on ground. Just like the Norm Smith a Melbourne great.

When the women's football league got announced Daisy said she wouldn't play unless it was for Melbourne.

Norm Smith famously got sacked and said "I am Melbourne" There are similarities.

Maybe wants to see how the knee goes on the slide Queen's Bday before making the call ?

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
