I'll bow to your superior VFL knowledge, but you'd agree there's something to work with there?

Yes a very interesting prospect. Outstanding athlete but not a natural footballer & lacking football nous.

Needs a year or so at Casey but once he understands the game he could be special.

Rab curious about your pre-game perambulations today. Strongly suggest some warming broth followed by an Arbroath Smokie main of course.  After your repast while warming yourself at the open fireplace. Polish off a local favourite ‘Wormy hill’ single malt followed by a ‘Could Reekie Stout’ chaser. Before you hit the Gayfield terraces at Casey Fields.

Afternoon TC. There'll be no perambulations for me today but the scene you've set sounds divine I have to say. I've never really acquired a taste for whisky or any spirits for that matter but I'd like to include a place called Whisky & Alement in Exhibition St on one of my next post game wanders and perhaps The Elysian on Brunswick St for a pre night game warmer.

So any streams?

I'm listening to it on Casey radio Geelong 1 point to us nil.

some players are just better suited to afl than vfl due to increased speed and skills honouring spread.

White 1 point scores level.

Very frustrating that there isn’t a live stream provided. We all saw in the Richmond vs Casey game how effective one camera following the play with no commentary can be, and it surely isn’t that difficult to set up and execute it. The firsts aren’t playing today so, all the focus easily should be on Casey (besides teams being announced for tomorrow).  Sometimes I feel Ben Gibson and the melb media team are truly clueless as to what the supporters really want from them. So much vested interested in watching Casey play, that should be a priority whenever possible at home games.

Jenkins goal.

White another behind 3 points to 7

Lewis goals 10 to 7

Rushed behind 11 to 7

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
