Love it. Good to see Neita there too. Perhaps Neale's choice of favourite football person to share the honour with?

I’ll wait for his statue before i get excited

I just can’t work out why he hasn’t gotten to the finals stages of Australian of the year let alone winning it. His achievements for fighting MND are incredible.

He is just amazing. How after 6 years being diagnosed with this horrible disease he can still stand and walk is remarkable and be out and about is remarkable.  This disease usually takes your life after 18 months.

I to agree. How he has not been made Australian of the year baffles me. He put MND funding on the map. Before there was nothing. All the money he has raised over the past years has been phenomenal.

An incredible human is ND. Thoroughly deserves as much recognition as possible.

Congrats Neale, looking amazing as well.?

Neitz has been in a good paddock, though. At first glance I thought it was Jason Dunstall.

Could not agree more dees189 Neale epitomises all the great human attributes and his smile is killer.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
