As far as I can work out, I think he is replying to Dieters post from Oct 23.

Legend of the club for sure.

But I'm sure how many games he will play in 2021. His tendency to lead with the head was a worrying trend in 2020 and a real sign of significantly slowing down.

For some reason, I can't seem to edit my earlier post. I meant to say "But I'm NOT sure how many games ...."

Not my clearest work, but there bears aging intrigue.....

Let me suggest that you re-read and if necessary, edit what you intend to post, BEFORE hitting the Submit Reply button. It will hopefully save a lot of confusion.

Thanks for that HT, I sometimes forget which forum I'm on.

Would make  great defensive coach when hes retired you'd think...  hoping he stays at the Demons in some capacity.  We need leaders and he is certainly one.

It's massively important that we keep Nev involved in the club after his playing career has ended whether that's in a coaching capacity or a part of our indigenous program.

As an aside I'm so happy for him that he didn't end up going to the Pies with everything that's going on there, I can't help but feel he would be trusted straight in front of the cameras for comments had he been there right now.

I don’t care in what capacity it is but from the outside I think he is some who would be very beneficial to keep in the club, whether that is in the “soft cap” or footy dept or outside of it he just seems to show leadership. Nev is one of my fav Dees players.

the role that springs to mind is similar to the role jamie bennell holds at WC in a relations/player welfare role focussing on strengthening ties with aboriginal communities and players. i know we have whelan at the helm at the moment and tough calls will have to be made with covid budgets but here's hoping we can fit them both in + im sure jonesy wants to stick around too

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.
