  • There were rumours on here that we are into Brody Mihocek. Tom Browne says Collingwood are interested in Jesse Hogan.
  • We've all put a lot of time into feeding Cornes' Hogan to Essendon idea.
  • If Hogan can find it in him to you know actually kick a goal maybe we might all start getting off his back.
  • Top 5 paid at the club and we're all satisfied with his output.
    • Don't worry about goals Hoges, just keep taking contested marks on the wing over Baker's head (175cm). Excellent return on investment.
  • If Hogan and Lobb were kicking 40/30 goals each I'd be open to trading Tabs. But they're not. Both seem mentally shot when it comes to kicking at the big sticks.
  • Hogan’s biggest issue is Tabs. You don’t see Kennedy run in front of Darling or Darling run in front of Kennedy. Tabs just gets in every other forwards way. The amount of times he spoils Lobb, bowls over Schultz and cuts off leads is a joke.
    • Hogan has done fu** all for us in two years. He's the one that needs to get out of the way. When was the last time he kicked a goal??
  • It's starting to look like a pretty bad decision to get Hogan instead of King and Hill. King especially looks like a damn good player for the next 10 years.
  • We'd be moronic to even consider trading him, would be one of the dumbest moves we've ever made if we did.
  • Hogan runs down the ground into space but as he starts to turn Taberner had already thrown the ball onto his boot and straight into the a rms of a Melbourne player.
  • We works his [censored] off on the field, keep him in and the cohesion will build.
  • Melbourne are playing for their season. So expect a walk over. Hogan will be off the leash.
  • Hogan will go off against Melbourne tomorrow, just got a feeling.

Everything else

  • Seven changes for Melbourne?? Aren’t they still in the mix for a finals spot?
  • No need to make changes. We are clearly going far better than what I thought we were!!!
    • Yeah the teams lost 3 of their last 4 games, we're flying.
  • Langdon's kicking is still nightmarish, feel bad for Melbourne supporters.
  • Melbourne are coming off a 4 day break. Got embarrassingly beaten by Sydney. Of course they were going to bring changes. But 7? That could be overkill, upset the whole chemistry or the team.
  • Big outs for Melbourne. Angus Brayshaw, Jones, Harmes, Wagner, Brown. Pretty meh Ins. Press maybe tall, but we have a huge chance at a win here.
  • Conca straight to Petracca? Or Oliver perhaps?
  • I'd expect Melbourne to be less complacent but a win for us here is important for morale.
  • Melbourne and finals type conditions do not go together.
  • Been watching a bit of Melbourne lately. May is in some good form so Taberner will have to play a blinder. May does really well to edge the Key forward too far ahead of the drop of the ball, but I think Tabs is a pretty good judge of the flight of the ball and he's got the strength to hold his own.
  • Petracca is on fire lately, will be an interesting matchup whoever he gets.
  • Melbourne very hit and miss. Look like trash against Sydney right now. Feel like we might match up fairly well against them.
  • Melbourne are so crap.
  • Expect them to come out breathing fire. Tabs vs Lever and Hogan vs Day would be great. Tabs should dominate Lever. Both midfield stack up.
  • Tabs, Hogan and Lobb experiment should continue. Either we're too tall, or our crumbers aren't up to it. We need to figure out what's going on in our fwd half.

Freo supporters think Josh Wagner is a big out for us.

Does his dad barrack for the Dockers?

I didn’t get out of my car for them to touch it. I just threw my food scraps at them out of my window.

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.

  • PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

Long ago and far away, the Melbourne Football Club replaced its coach in difficult circumstances after the team suffered a devastating loss. In the aftermath, I penned the following words: “Then came the politics, the intrigue, the axing, the sound of the football world laughing at a club, the circling of the media vultures, the reinvention of history, the anger, the irony, the pathos, the hurt on the face of the president, the dignified departure of the coach, and the determination of the newly appointed caretaker.” Today, we’re back in the same place although one difference here is that the coach who was terminated this time is Simon Goodwin, the man who four years ago

  • REPORT: West Coast

The Charles Dickens novel, A Tale of Two Cities, opens with, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, …”  This phrase highlights many of the significant challenges that humanity encounters in life, ranging from experiencing remarkable highs to living in times of despair. This is a concept that should resonate with all supporters of the Melbourne Football Club this morning as they reflect on its comprehensive 83-point victory over the struggling West Coast Eagles at Marvel Stadium. The outcome proved beyond doubt that they are the worst of clubs and that we are the best of the worst.

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.
